Prostate cancer is a common type of cancer in males but it is highly treated in the early stages. It is marked by an uncontrollable (malignant) growth of cells in the prostate. It begins in the prostate gland, which sits between the p***s and the bladder.
There are often no symptoms during the early stages of prostate cancer but screening can detect changes that can indicate cancer. Those that experience symptoms may notice; difficulty starting and maintaining urination, painful urination, a frequent urge to urinate, especially at night, in some cases, pain on ej*******on.
It is not yet known exactly what causes prostate cancer. However risk factors include; older age, family history, a sedentary lifestyle, obesity, diet, smoking, etc
There is no sure way of preventing it since the exact cause is unknown however, there are steps that could reduce ones risk of developing prostate cancer. These include; exercising, quitting smoking, etc. Certain foods could reduce ones risk which are tomatoes, fish, soy, oils that contain Omega 3 fatty acids such as olive oil.

Sickle Cell Disease is a common disease that affects the blood. It leads to blood cells destruction leaving those with the condition with very low blood levels and pain crisis as a result of the abnormal shaped, sticky and rigid red blood cells.

It runs in families. Parents with the abnormal gene ’S’, can pass it on to their children. The symptoms are worse when a child inherits one abnormal sickle cell gene from each parent hence becomes ‘SS’. This is normally referred to as sickle cell anaemia.

The most commonly known symptoms of sickle cell disease are pain in the bones, which occurs from as early as four months of age with painful, swollen fingers and low blood levels as they grow requiring multiple blood transfusions.

Sickle cell disease also affects all organs of the body: brain, eye, heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys, bones and skin with wounds on the legs which are very difficult to heal.

They are also prone to frequent infections which result in frequent hospitalization and poor quality of life.

Due to the frequent hospitalization children tend to miss school and this affects their academic performance, which is associated with stigmatization and depression.

Treatments might include medications and blood transfusions. For some children and teenagers, a stem cell transplant might cure the disease.

NEVER GIVE UP
Thomas Edison failed 1000 times before inventing light bulb.
How many times have you tried?
It’s time and seasons.
Someone’s time was yesterday, last week, last month, last year.
You ask yourself when is my time?
Relax, don’t worry keep on trying and with God’s help your time will come.
Remember mangoes in the same branches have different ripening time.
Someone will marry at the age of 25 but will give birth at 30, someone will also marry at 28 and will give birth at the same age.
Whatever you want in life just be focus and keeping on keeping on.
Remember, never give up. Don’t forget to like and share the page.
Good evening
