Ghana Optical Technicians Association (GHANOTA) as previously known was duly registered under the companies Code 1963,Act 179 on the 22nd day of January 2010 primarily with its membership numbering less than twenty from the the nations premiere optical training school and the only in the west African sub-region
This union seeks to regulates the profession of optical dispensing in the country from the enacts and provisions of the associations legal council
OAG today have over two hundred qualified (200)opticians practising across the country,some graduating from other colleges and university's in other parts of the world serving the people of Ghana with their rich knowledge and experience both in public and private sectors of the healthcare

OAG HOLDS HANDOVER CEREMONY & 2026 NEC STRATEGIC MEETING

The Opticians Association of Ghana (OAG) successfully held its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting and inaugural ceremony for the newly elected executives from 19th to 20th December, 2025, at the EJISU GRNMA Guest House.

The meeting marked an important milestone as the new leadership outlined its strategic plans and initiatives aimed at strengthening the association, advancing opticianry services nationwide, enhancing public awareness, and improving professional standards for the year 2026 and beyond.

The executives reaffirmed their commitment to unity, collaboration, advocacy, and proactive leadership in moving the association forward for the benefit of members and the general public.

Together, we continue to "Frame the beauty within"
