**✨ COMMUNION WITH THE LORD: ABIDING IN HIS PRESENCE ✨**
*“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple.”*
— **Psalm 27:4 (NASB)**

Beloved, this is *not* a casual request—this is the heartbeat of a soul in holy pursuit.

David, in the midst of enemies, threats, and uncertainty, declares: *One thing.* Not many things. Not safety, success, or significance—but **presence**. He longs not just for deliverance *from* trouble—but for deeper communion *with* the Deliverer.

🔹 *The Lord is my light*—He dispels every darkness of fear, doubt, and despair.
🔹 *The Lord is my salvation*—I will not cower; my hope is anchored in His finished work.
🔹 *The Lord is the strength of my life*—when I am weak, He empowers me to stand.

Even when “my father and mother forsake me,” **the Lord will take me up** (v. 10). That’s covenant love. That’s grace that clings when all else lets go.

👉 This is the call of discipleship:
To wait on the Lord *when the battle rages* (v. 14).
To seek His face *when the world demands your compromise*.
To trust His timing *when delay feels like denial*.

Jesus is the fulfillment of this psalm.
He is the *true Light* (John 8:12),
the *perfect Salvation* (Acts 4:12),
the *Living Temple* where we behold His glory (John 2:21; Heb. 10:19–22).

🔥 So today—don’t settle for religious routine. Pursue *real communion*.
Enter His courts with thanksgiving. Sit at His feet in stillness. Listen for His voice in Scripture. Let worship be your warfare.

*“Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.”*
Let that be your anthem today.

“He who does not seize today’s opportunity will not be able to seize tomorrow’s.”
~ African Proverb

Opportunities are like doors—once opened, they do not stay that way forever. Every day brings with it unique chances, ideas, and encounters that may never appear again in the same way. When a person delays, procrastinates, or ignores today’s opportunities, they unknowingly close the very doors that could lead to tomorrow’s success.

Many dream of a brighter future but forget that the future is built on the actions of today. The seeds of tomorrow’s harvest must be planted now. If you fail to act, you risk entering tomorrow empty-handed, with nothing to reap. Life rewards those who are ready, prepared, and willing to act promptly.

Seizing opportunity requires courage, vision, and faith. Often, opportunities disguise themselves as challenges, hard work, or even discomfort. Those who hesitate out of fear or doubt may later look back with regret. On the other hand, those who take bold steps today position themselves for greater doors to open tomorrow.

This proverb reminds us that time waits for no one. Every moment is precious. Today’s decisions shape tomorrow’s realities. Do not wait for a “perfect time”—because the perfect time is now. If you grasp what lies before you today, you will be better prepared to handle the bigger opportunities of tomorrow.

So, be watchful, be ready, and be decisive. Your future begins with the opportunities you choose to embrace today.

**THE HEADTEACHER IS ALWAYS WRONG**
If lessons are observed often, they micromanage.
If observations are rare, they don’t care about teaching quality.
If they speak firmly, they are too harsh.
If they speak gently, they lack authority.
If they walk the corridors, they’re seen as nosy.
If they stay in the office, they’re out of touch.
If they enforce rules strictly, they’re too rigid.
If they’re flexible, they have no discipline.
If they attend school events, they’re only there for show.
If they don’t attend, they’re uninvolved.
If they use technology in school management, they’re chasing trends.
If they don’t, they’re outdated and inefficient.
If they take time to make decisions, they’re too slow.
If they act quickly, they’re impulsive and reckless.
If they invest in school facilities, they’re wasting funds.
If they don’t upgrade anything, they’re neglecting the school.
If assembly starts on time, the bell must be fast.
If they start late, it’s the headteacher’s fault for poor timing.
If they drive to school in a nice car, they’re showing off.
If they walk or take public transport, they can’t afford better.
If they’re young, they lack experience.
If they’re older, they should retire and give way.
But when they leave, everyone says, “We’ll never find someone as good as him.”
If they raise standards, they’re putting too much pressure.
If standards drop, they’re not doing their job.
If they support teachers, they’re soft. If they don't, they don't mingle with us.
If they hold staff accountable, they’re unfair. If they don't, they are too friendly.
If they involve parents, they’re being political.
If they don’t, they’re disconnected from the community.

A wise man cannot save a decaying country, as manure cannot save an eroding land.
~ African Proverb

Wisdom alone cannot revive a nation that refuses to correct its wrongs. Even the best advice is wasted when the ears that hear it are closed.

📜 "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." – Proverbs 29:2

💡 A decaying nation is not healed by brilliance in one man, but by righteousness in many hearts.
💡 A farmer cannot restore a dying farm by feeding only one tree; he must heal the soil.
💡 Leaders may shine, but if the people love corruption, the rot will spread faster than the cure.

Let us remember — the destiny of a nation rests not in the wisdom of one, but in the collective conscience of all. 🌍✊

Jack Ma the richest man in China said, "If you put the Banana and Money infront of a monkey. The monkey will choose Banana because the monkey don't know that money can buy alot of Bananas."

In fact, if you offer WORK and BUSINESS to people, they will choose to WORK because most people don't know that a BUSINESS can make more money than salary.

One of the reason the poor are poor is because the poor are not trained to recognise the entrepreneurial opportunity.

They spend alot of time in school and what they learn in school is work for a salary instead of working for themselves.

Profit is better than wages because wages can support you, but profits can make you a fortune.

Make positive decisions. It is better to try and fail than never trying anything because the next time you will bounce back is rich with experience.

_It is advisable you read the text first_

*NO EXCUSE*

📜TEXT:JOHN 3:14-21📜

🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (JOHN 3:18).*_

A man is never so "fit for believing" as when, in himself, he is most unfit. It is unfitness not fitness that is really required. What is fitness for being washed? Filth and filth alone. What is fitness for receiving alms? Poverty, abject need. What is fitness for receiving pardon? Guilt and only guilt. If you are guilty, if you are black with sin, if you are foul, you have all the fitness that is required. So, come and find in Jesus Christ all that meets your greatest and most urgent need. If you are never saved until you, an unpardoned sinner, have all objections answered, you will never be saved, because there are a thousand objections to the salvation of any man, which can only be met by the blood of Jesus.

The text today tells us of the love of God for the world exhibited by giving His only begotten Son to be crucified on the cross for the salvation of the world. Simple faith in the atonement of Christ will give everlasting life, but those who do not believe condemn themselves.

Daily, we are confronted with the challenge of taking decisions. Some are minor and routine decisions, which require not much thoughtfulness to make because they have no far-reaching consequences. Others are more critical, major decisions, which require promptness, decisiveness as well as clear understanding and appreciation of their consequences. The latter includes the decision of your faith.

Dear reader, what if you are to reach the end of your life's journey tonight, where will you spend eternity? You condemn yourself if you do not believe in the Son of God and the atonement by His blood. Why still halt between two opinions? Come just as you are - dirty, filthy and guilty. Jesus has not come to condemn anyone but to save sinners. You have no excuse not to be saved.

✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*You condemn yourself by not believing in Christ.*_

📜THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:*2 KINGS 16-17*📜

*MEDITATION*

*A life changing look of faith*

*1. The analogy of salvation by faith* Numbers 21:5-9.
a. Sin caused Israel to be bitten by deadly serpents and many died.
b. Moses was commanded to make a serpent of brass and lift it up with a tree.
c. A mere look at the lifeless serpent brought a miracle of healing and deliverance from death.
d. What is the significance of this?
i. It takes faith to look at the serpent. Without faith, it is foolishness looking at it for healing.
ii. It takes confidence in the word of God spoken by Moses before "looking" is taken serious.
iii. Rather than being bitter at Moses, they obeyed him, which is an indication that they accepted that they are guilty and the judgement was well deserved.
iv. It also shows that they were willing to accept God's solution rather than seeking for man made solution or alternatives which will not work.
v. Think of it. Just this kind of obedience of faith removed all the pangs of death and brought full life.
vi. Embedded in this is the reality of forgiveness for God will not give deliverance without showing mercy and forgiveness.
vii. God did not give any other condition or demanded them to do something else to get the deliveranece. Just a look of faith. So simple that many will find it too simple to accept.
viii. How would they know that the look of faith worked? Poison gone and deliverance from death became so real and visible.

*Question*
Can you compare this analogy above with salvation from sins and reception of eternal life?

*2. The antidote to sin in finality*
a. Check vv15,18 where the word "believe" was mentioned as a condition for salvation and deliverance from eternal abode in heaven.
b. Any addition and subtraction from this "believe" will make salvation impossible. Salvation is by faith.

*Question*
What are the implications of this "believe"?
i. A look at the dead serpent is indicative of the fact that you believe that there is cure. If looking at a dead serpent can save from death, how much more of looking at the crucified living Christ? A look of faith at the crucified Christ is indicative that you accept that He has power and will save from the condemnation and practice of sin.
ii. It is an obedient faith indicating that you now begin a journey of obedience to the Lord Jesus in every area of your life and Saviour.
iii. This faith is an affirmation that you are ready to follow Him and start doing whatever He asked you to do as your Lord and Saviour. This include repentance and restitution if need be.
iv. This look of faith alone is an indication that you have lost confidence in all alternatives and man made solutions. You come to Jesus with nothing in your hand to help you receive His mercy. Just by grace alone.

*Question*
a. What happens to those who refuse to exercise this faith or think they must do something more to earn their salvation? vv18,19.
b. Why has God made this great salvation easy for everyone?, v16.
c. What is the evidence that a sinner truly exercise this saving faith?, vv15,17, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

*Prayer points*
Lord I praise you for paying the full price of redemption and free salvation🙏
Lord, I come to you with faith in the crucified Christ alone and pleading for the experience of salvation in my life🙏
Lord, help me to ever be living in full appreciation of this great salvation you have given me🙏
Help all those not yet saved in the church to understand and manifest this saving faith in Christ🙏

*THE INQUIRING SPIRIT*
*TEXT:* JOB 31:13-23.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he visited, what shall I answer him?" (JOB 31:14)._

The Greek philosopher, Socrates, was said to be a familiar figure in the marketplace. He did nothing other than to ask questions. He would quiz the citizens of Athens, the chief city, trying to convince them of their lack of knowledge. Discussions that followed the posers would then lead them to realise that the only lasting foundations of any community are truth and virtue.

A puzzled Job also benefitted from this tradition of interrogating challenges in order to get solutions. Derided by wife after they had lost their children, wealth, and his health, his friends compounded his woes as they trashed his integrity claim and told him his sin had found him out. According to them, Job was only reaping what he sowed.

This triggered questions in the righteous but suffering Job. Going far back into his past, he said he honoured God by providing for the fatherless and the widow as He commanded. Then his questions: "What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?" He was sure his "perfect heart" would please heaven as King Hezekiah did when he pleaded for his life to be spared.

God Himself has said we should produce our cause and "bring forth [our] strong reasons" (lsaiah 41:21). When life-threatening problems plague us, we can allude to how His grace and mercy have sustained us. We can refer Him to how His unfailing promises have lifted us from hopelessness to a new lease of life which has been of benefit to His Church and the brethren. We can remind Him of the great joy we now have through Christ's presence in us. As a result of all these "strong reasons," we can go ahead to refute the accusations of the enemy that God has forsaken us and from that point ask Him to prolong our lives for more work for Him.

*✍THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* Don't ask God, why; ask what He wants you to do.

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR* ISAIAH 38-41.

The philosophy of the righteous

1. Don't use your position to despise, cheat, oppress or deny the rights of your subordinates or servants just because "there is nothing they can do to you", v13.
2. Always put it in mind that you are answerable to God in whatever you do or say, both in time and eternity, v14.
3. Every soul has the same worth before God even though some are better placed or privileged than the others, v15.
4. Denying or withholding basic necessities of life to the needy when it is in your power to do so is wickedness, vv16,19,20.
5. Food is the most essential need of a man which must not be denied and withheld from any by those who claims to possess the love of God, v17.
6. Oppression and taking advantage of the vulnerable will not go unpunished even when hands join hands together, vv21,23.
*Q* Can you supply Bible verses that support those 6 philosophies.
*Q* Reflect on each of those philosophy to see areas where you are "weak" and needs to improve.
*Prayer Points*
*Ask* for forgiveness where you are found wanting🙏
*Ask* for the mind of Christ so that you life will be reflecting His lifestyle🙏
*Help me* that my life, mindset and conviction will built on biblical philosophy and not human philosophy🙏
*Lord,* use your word to raise a standard against all philosophy of men in the church and let the truth of your word prevail🙏

*I DON'T KNOW WHY SHE STOPPED GREETING ME UNTIL I ASKED YESTERDAY :*
*There was this lady I met in her mummy's shop one day. She greeted me with a full smile and was so happy to introduce me to her mum. She told her mum how I came to her school with my team members for sexual purity campaign and how she was so blessed with my teachings and all that.*
*From that day, anytime I pass that shop, this lady will greet me excitedly and even her mum too. It continued like that until about a month now. I have passed that place like 5 times now and this lady would not greet me. Only the mother greets me. Two weeks ago, I even said how are you? She just managed to say 'I am fine" reluctantly. This is a lady that, seeing me from afar, she will start smiling and she calls me 'daddy" .*
*I started wondering why this sudden change and attitude of disdain from her. Many thoughts were running through my heart that, is it because the lady is now in higher institution, that's why she's giving me attitude? Did I offend her in any way? What's the issue with this lady? At a time, I felt I will just greet the mother and not bother myself with her.*
*But yesterday, I stopped at her mum's shop. I saw her lying down on a long bench. The mother greeted me. I greeted and I said, why did your daughter suddenly change to me. Why is she behaving as if I am a stranger here. I will greet, she won't answer. This is the same person that will be smiling at me from afar. Have I done anything wrong?*
*The mother started laughing. The lady was looking at me as if I was wrongly accusing her. It was later the mother said, "Haaa. This is not your daughter sir. This is her twin sister. They look so much alike. That one is busy at home, so, this one has been the one following me to shop since last month. The lady too said, sir, I am sorry, I don't know you, that was why I just greet you casually. I am sorry sir.*
*It was then I knew, I was just giving myself unnecessary headache. Thank God I clarified the issue. The mother even told me that the other lady do ask of me and will say to the mother, 'If you see my daddy passing, greet him for me oo" and here I was almost taking the girl as a proud lady and all that.*
*Friends, do you know many people are in similar situation like this? May be you are also guilty of this. Instead of you to clarify issues with people, you just picked everyone as your enemies. You know that person you are angry with might not be angry with you? You know that malice, bitterness, hatred and anger that is killing you and eating you up gradually might just be because of your wrong assumptions that someone hates you, someone does not appreciate you, someone does not greet you and it might be the ' twin sister" of that person you are wrongly accusing.*
*Liberate yourself. Stop assuming for people. They might not even know or think about you and here you are worked up and taking people as your imaginary enemies.*
*Why can't you find out what the issue is and it will amaze you that, nobody is angry with you. You are the one angry and fighting with yourself. Clarification will help you, not speculation.*
