🇧🇫 BREAKING: Captain Ibrahim Traoré Jails Former President Damiba—Accountability Arrives in the Sahel 🇧🇫

Paul-Henri Damiba—who seized power in 2022 before being overthrown by Traoré—is now in custody. Accused of plotting to assassinate Traoré and destabilize Burkina Faso. Arrested in Togo. Extradited. Jailed.

What this means:

Damiba faces charges beyond the plot: embezzlement, corruption, money laundering. Togo secured promises of fair trial before handing him over.

A Boko Haram mercenary was captured by Cameroonian troops following the February 18, 2026 night assault on the Bargaram military camp.

Earlier in January, a foreign fighter linked to ISWAP was captured by Nigerian troops after a failed attack on their position. These incidents show that BHT/ISWAP are increasingly turning to foreign fighter infiltration to reinforce and sustain their operations.

The influx of foreign mercenaries, including fighters from the Sahel and as far afield as Pakistan has brought more advanced combat methods into Nigeria’s northeast, including the use of drone surveillance, enhanced IED making techniques, and specialized tactical training. The porous borders with Niger, Chad, and Cameroon are frequently used for the influx of foreign fighters and arms.

New twist: Do you still remember Mirabel, the viral girl who was allegedly gr@ped two days ago?

Her next-door neighbour has now come out to share what he claims he discovered, which contradicts her account.

According to him:
“The gr@pe did not happen. I did not hear any shouting when the alleged incident occurred.

What pains me is that she said her mum passed away a few days ago, and the whole compound contributed money for her.

I checked her page and saw that she posted about her mum’s passing last December.

I’ve seen her with a man before. He comes around often, and they take some things. I don’t believe her story.”
