Balancd aims to spread the benefits of ancient art of Tai Chi & Qigong, ultimately improving balance in the mind & body. Collaborating with doctors, physiotherapists & Tai Chi Masters, we have created an easy to follow balance program that focuses on: mind/body coordination, strength training and injury prevention.
*Our instructors are fully certified by the Hong Kong Northern Shao Lin Lung Chi Cheung Martial Arts Association.

Balancd™ Baduanjin Qigong begins next week in Central!

Join us on Saturday mornings at 9:30am at Central Pier 10 for a focused, breath-led practice rooted in over 800 years of tradition 🌤️

Baduanjin is a medicinal form of Qigong made up of eight low-impact movements, each designed to benefit a specific part of the body. Through coordinated breathing, stretching and muscle engagement, the series supports mobility, circulation and overall balance.

You may follow the full sequence as a course, or join individual sessions as stand-alone classes.

All sessions are beginner-friendly, low-impact and conducted bilingually.

八段錦源於十二世紀,是一套結合吐納、伸展與肌肉鍛鍊的養生功法。全套共八式,每一式針對身體不同部位,幫助改善活動能力與整體平衡。

Balancd™ Tai Chi returns to Central this March ☯️

Our 10-week Thursday evening course is designed as a steady, progressive practice – building balance, coordination and internal strength over time. Rooted in the Northern Shaolin Tai Chi lineage, each session develops structure, awareness and control, guiding you through a complete form week by week.

Classes take place indoors at Moving Cube Studio and are conducted bilingually. If you miss a session, catch-up videos are provided so you can stay consistent.

同衡™ 太極拳將於三月重返中環 ☯️

逢星期四晚舉行的 10 週課程,以循序漸進的方式練習,穩步建立平衡力、協調性與內在力量。

課程源自北少林顧式太極拳。每一式皆具攻防意識,強調陰陽之間的互動。每週逐步學習完整套路,在結構與節奏中提升身體覺察與控制力。

這是一種低衝擊性運動,著重培養身心平衡。

Start the Year of the Horse with Kung Fu. 🐎 This March, Balancd™ returns to Central with kung fu classes designed to build balance, mobility and focus.

Choose your practice:
➡️ Tai Chi Course (10 Weeks): A progressive evening course to deepen body awareness, coordination and internal strength.
➡️ Baduanjin Qigong (course or drop-in): Gentle, breath-led movement to reduce stress and strengthen the whole body.
➡️ Kung Fu Basics: A special one-off conditioning class to improve stability, flexibility and cardiovascular health.

Tai Chi will run as a dedicated 10-week course on Thursday evenings at Moving Cube Studio. Qigong and Kung Fu Basics will take place on Saturday mornings at Central Pier 10.

Chinese New Year is a reminder that beginnings don’t have to be loud or perfect. If January felt rushed or unfinished, this is another chance to reset.

We honour the life and legacy of our Sifu, Lung Kai Ming (1936–2026).

A dedicated teacher, community builder and lifelong practitioner, he devoted his life to making Chinese martial arts accessible, systematic and grounded in care for others' health and well-being. He taught all he knew selflessly and wholeheartedly to his disciples. From Hong Kong to communities around the world, his generosity, discipline and foresight shaped generations of students.

As a teacher, he believed deeply in perfecting the fundamentals. Through relentless practice, refinement and high standards, he inspired us all to be our best. His teachings live on through the Northern Shaolin lineage he preserved and the lives he touched. We practice with gratitude and carry his spirit forward.

永誌懷念師父龍啟明先生(1936–2026)

畢生致力於傳授中國武術,龍啟明師父不僅是全心投入的老師,更一生致力建設社群,個人武藝的修練,更是從未間斷。
始終懷著對他人身心健康的關切,以助人為本,令武術得以系統化、更易理解,無私地傾囊相授。從香港到世界各地,他的慷慨、自律與遠見,深深影響了一代又一代的學子。

師父深信,功夫的精髓在於基本功。透過不懈的鍛鍊、細緻的打磨與嚴格的要求,他激勵我們每個人都做到最好。師父所傳授的北少林武學,以及他觸動過的無數生命,將使他的教誨永遠流傳。

我們心懷感恩,繼續修煉,讓師父的精神延續傳承。

Yesterday, Team Balancd™ spent the afternoon outdoors with students from Buddhist Yip Kei Nam Memorial College.

We led a Kung Fu experience class focused on strength, flexibility and coordination – giving everyone their own space to move, learn and have fun together.

It was great to see teachers joining in alongside the students, ending the school day with energy, movement and smiles. 😊

昨日,同衡™團隊與佛教葉紀南紀念中學的同學們,在校園操場的陽光下一同活動。

我們為大家帶來了一堂基本功體驗課,重點鍛鍊力量、柔韌度與身體協調能力。每位同學都有充足的活動空間,可以開心學習與運動,一起享受出汗的樂趣。

Last Sunday, we spent a lovely morning at 嘉道理農場暨植物園 Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden 🌿 As part of their Connection to Nature for Migrant Domestic Workers programme, we led two outdoor Kung Fu Basics classes.

A big thank you to the Kadoorie Farm team for organising and sponsoring such a great initiative, and to the students for their positive energy. It feels so good to practice together in nature!

上星期日,我們在嘉道理農場暨植物園度過了一個非常美好的早晨 🌿 作為「連繫大自然」計劃的一部分,我們在戶外進行了兩節少林基本功課程。

衷心感謝嘉道理農場團隊的悉心籌備與資助,也要謝謝每位學員帶來的滿滿正能量。在大自然中一起練習,感覺真的很舒服!
