最近學生跟我分享她生活的小片段...
她説早前去剪頭髮,髮型師搬了去一個新地方,到埗後她感覺不太自在,因為髮型屋是在地庫...
坐下後不久,一位女生帶她去洗頭,洗頭的地方是一個小小的獨立房間,沒有窗户。她躺下後,覺得很不安,焦慮的感覺漸漸湧出來...
(她之前有些經歷,所以偶然會突然感到很焦慮)
幸好,在僅有的意識下,她記得課堂上我說過即使遇到什麼狀況,也練習觀照自己身體的感覺,情緒,思緒;練習觀照一切的發生及變化,不要被狀況掩沒了自己的覺知。於是她便覺察身體的感覺,自己的情緒,頭腦有什麼想法...
她發現,焦慮的原因是:陌生的女生,被帶到一個陜小沒有窗戶的房間...
在焦慮來侵襲的時候沒有被攻陷,反而能保持覺知看到自己深層的恐懼,真的很厲害!
很多人認為瑜伽就是練習不同的體式,鍛煉身體的柔軟度...
其實,透過瑜伽練習去培養覺知,練習觀照身體所有感覺,讓瑜伽漸漸淨化及轉化我們,讓我們放下所有框架,限制性信念,生活得自在快樂,才是瑜伽真正的目的。

That day she went for a haircut. The hairdresser had moved to a new location. After arriving at the salon, she felt a bit uncomfortable because the salon was in the basement of a building...
Shortly after settling down, a girl led her to a room to wash her hair. It was a small, private room with no window. After lying down, she started to feel very anxious...
Fortunately, she remembered in the yoga practice, I always remind them to stay watchful, especially in tough situations. So she started watching her body sensations, her emotions and thoughts, and all the changes.
On one hand she felt very anxious, on the other hand she tried to watch her thoughts and fear, and not to get carried away by the emotions.
She found the cause of her anxiety was: a girl she didn't know, being led to a small room, an unfamiliar place...
It was amazing she wasn't carried away by the emotions. Instead, she was able to stay watchful and simply witness all happenings.
Many people thought yoga is about flexibility of the body and doing fancy poses...
In fact, what is important is staying watchful during the practice, surrender, only then can yoga purify and transform us, and we come out as a more balanced and stable person. Only then we can be free, we can live fully. This is what yoga is about.
