Jiale is a lively, bright ten-year-old with a hearing impairment. She lives in a rural town in the Wangcheng district of Changsha. When our Outreach Team first met Jiale in 2022, they discovered that she had never received professional rehabilitation training before, as her family was unable to afford it. Our team was able to respond to this crucial need by bringing a special education teacher and therapist directly to her home. Jiale and her family have also participated in FPP's fun-filled events, becoming part of our supportive community.

Vocational training is an essential part of ICC's work. Through meaningful training and employment opportunities, surrounded by supportive social care staff and teachers, young adults with disabilities are able to build confidence and independence.

Weishan is a lively, energetic fifteen-year-old with an intellectual disability, who first joined our Enquan Yuan family in 2019. Weishan enrolled in the Changsha Children's Welfare Institute Special School and started classes in September. Initially, she didn’t like going to school and often needed her caregiver to bring her to the classroom. However, after a period of adjustment, she now enjoys attending school with the other children, and is excited for each school day. Occasionally, she even helps the teacher during lessons and particularly enjoys art classes. We’re excited for Weishan to continue her educational journey!

We brought a Jincheng a new wheelchair! It fits him perfectly, and we hope this will make it easier for Jincheng to go out and join our FPP events. Thank you for ongoing support of ICC, it's donors like you who help to provide the wheelchairs and essential therapy equipment children like Jincheng urgently need. Thank you!

Jiapeng and Jiacheng, who both have cerebral palsy, live in rural Hunan province and are lovingly cared for by their grandfather. Our Outreach Team regularly visits the brothers to provide essential supplies, and therapeutic and educational support. We ask that you please pray for their family, as the cold weather makes caring for the boys alone quite challenging for their grandfather. Please pray for comfort, warmth and support for their family.

We're excited to share that Chuling has joined our Enquan Yuan family! She is an outgoing thirteen year old with Down syndrome, and her caregivers have shared that she is full of energy and loves going for walks. Please join us in praying for Chuling as she settles into life at ICC.

Last month, our Outreach Team 3 visited Jiayi, a three-year-old girl with an intellectual disability who lives in rural Hunan province. They recently had their second home visit with her, and shared that she was diligent and focused during her lesson, with a strong desire to walk. She was able to follow the teachers' instructions well and could identify most of her own and her doll's facial features. Your generosity and support helps to continue these home visits, and ensure the children we serve continue to receive life-enhancing therapy and education. Thank you.

In the week before Christmas, our FPP Aixihui Team crafted a handmade "Christmas tree" during their special education classes. The children worked together to create the tree, using different materials and adding their own photos. This has added a warm holiday atmosphere to the lobby of the Aixihui centre. A special thank you to our special education teacher, Huang Fang, for designing this creative class for the children!
