Health In Sight Mission Established in 2005, Health In Sight Mission of Roatan is a Christ-centered medical & surgical ophthalmology outreach to the people of Roatan Honduras.

In the event of a power outage, we can utilize battery backup to restore light and complete eye examinations. However, for individuals with uncontrolled glaucoma, loss of sight cannot be reversed. Once out, their vision cannot be restored.
We urge everyone to prioritize personal eye care. As possible, may you also consider supporting that care for others in Roatan?

Glaucoma is a silent, vision-stealing disease. When ongoing access to medication is not available, irreparable damage continues. HISM now has equipment to test progression of that loss, and alter the disease when appropriate. Patients then have reduced reliance on medication. Sustainably of eye health remains a top priority.
