📍 „Kérdezd a Minisztert!” – Miniszteri–Rektori–Hallgatói Fórum a Semmelweis Egyetemen
Több mint száz hallgató vett részt ma este a Semmelweis Egyetemen megrendezett „Kérdezd a Minisztert!” fórumon, ahol Hankó Balázs, az innovációért, felsőoktatásért, szakképzésért és felnőttképzésért felelős miniszter, valamint Dr. Merkely Béla rektor válaszolt a hallgatók kérdéseire.
A fórumon szó esett az ösztöndíjakról, a mobilitási programokról – köztük a rendkívül sikeres Pannónia Ösztöndíjprogramról –, továbbá a kollégiumi férőhelyekről, az egyetemi infrastruktúra fejlesztéseiről és az oktatási innovációkról is.
Az esemény lehetőséget adott a közvetlen párbeszédre a döntéshozók és a hallgatók között, erősítve az együttműködést és közösséget az egyetemen belül. 💙🤍

📊📈👨🏻‍💻👩🏻‍💻More than 130 participants from four continents joined Semmelweis University for a week-and-a-half-long Summer School and a three-day Conference on Biomedical Data Science.
The event featured keynote presentations by leading international experts, including Dr. Katy Börner, Dr. Kosmas Kepesidis (presenting joint research with Nobel Laureate Dr. Ferenc Krausz), and Dr. Albert-László Barabási.
As the first large-scale international event of the recently founded Institute of Biostatistics and Network Science, the program brought together MSc and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, physicians, health data science professionals, and corporate representatives — building a tradition for the years ahead.

🔬Kinga Vörös’s special interest in cell biology and the world of neurons led her to research the neuronal background of Huntington’s disease, a currently incurable neurological disorder. As a PhD student at Semmelweis University’s Institute of Translational Medicine, her work involves testing the efficacy of a calcium channel blocker using an induced neuronal model developed at the institute, and comparing the results of the parallel preclinical and clinical trial phases. For her work, she received the 2024 Semmelweis Innovation Award in the Most Innovative PhD Thesis category. 🤍💙
