Not just another spa in Bali, Essence Spa is on busy Sunset Road but sheltered from its noise. Step inside and pick your treatment, don’t know which fits you best? Tell us what it is your looking to get out a treatment and our receptionist will advise you what will fit your situation best.

While we prepare your room, our receptionist will es**rt you to the changing room, where you can change in private and put your belongings in one of the lockers. Once you have changed have a cup of ginger tea, and relaxed in our sauna relaxing yourself to the perfect state of mind for the treatment. Dr. Fish is in! No appointment needed to meet the doc, just put your feet inside the aquarium and let the fish eat all the dirt off your feet.

We interrupt your relaxing only if the room is ready, and now it’s time to paint you a word picture of your treatment. We es**rt you to the prepared room were we kindly ask you to take seat, we will take off your sandals and wash feet. After we washed your feet we’ll ask you to lie down on the bed so can we start with the massage, the massage depends on the treatment you chose beforehand, but let’s the traditional Balinese massage as an example. Balinese massage is a relaxing and slower massage to sooth the muscles and slowly take away your stress. We use oils, masks and scrubs fitting to the treatment you picked. Should you for example have chosen the red wine treatment everything will include red wine. Assume you picked the red wine treatment, you’re lying on the table and the masseuse just started the massage, she pours red wine mixed oil over your body so the massage is more smoothly. After an hour of being massaged we’ll the room and ask you to shower the oils of your body. Take your time showering and once you’re done please let us know so we can continue. Next is the body scrub, to fully get all that oils and dirt of your body. The body scrub is applied wet and needs to dry a little before it works, then the massage continues while at the same time clean your body. So your body is clean and fresh again, time for…. Another shower. The scrub has to be completely washed away to get the most out of the body mask. The body mask will be applied and you will be left alone to let it absorb fully into your body. In the mean time we’ll prepare your bath filled with red wine and glass to go along. All that’s left now is your bath and drink. Bath as long as you’d like, come out only when you’re ready to face the world as a refreshed person.

Everyone wants younger looking skin, so why not keep it from aging? Regular facials improve the skin’s appearance and texture. Avoid plastic surgery in the future by taking care of your skin now!

De-Clog:
The daily interactions that our faces have with the world leave behind dirt and chemicals on our skin. Cleansing pores de-clogs our face and prevents breakouts. Less breakouts means less skin irritation, allowing one to feel confident without a face full of makeup.

Clear LED Light Illumination:
When analyzing skin in regular light, there’s a lot to miss. LED Light Illumination pinpoints problems by zooming in on the skin at a different level. This allows people to start treating problem areas before they become visible to the naked eye.

Peeling:
The removal of dead skin reveals your face’s natural glow. Not only do you feel cleaner, but your face looks better. Exfoliating prevents the appearance of wrinkles while making your skin soft to the touch. Getting rid of dead skin prevents build-up, leading to a brighter face in the future.
Getting facials regularly slows down the aging process and helps you love the skin you’re in. Dermatologists are coming up with new technology to further improve skin condition.

You don’t have to use a mask on your entire face. Nor do you need to limit yourself to just one mask. If you never have acne on your cheeks or forehead, there’s no reason to use a mask designed for acne in those areas, is there? In fact, perhaps your cheeks are super-dry while you have acne on your jawline and neck. A different mask for those dry areas just makes sense.

Not every mask is meant to harden and dry on the skin. The Flower & Tonic Mask is made with Kaolin, and is intended to dry on the skin as it draws dirt and oil from the pores. Other masks (the Ginkgo Mask, for example) provide intense moisture and will not harden prior to removal.

Masks are an excellent way to target specific issues such as acne and visible aging. I have a good friend in her 40s who is concerned about aging; she uses the Super Collagen Mask. Another friend of mine loves to alternate between the Drying Mask and the Healing & Soothing Mask to help clear her acne.

Facial masks have been used for thousands of years. Cleopatra’s use of masks is a famous example. She not only bathed in milk but also applied egg white masks to her face. Stories of facial masks made from a variety of natural ingredients—including mud from the Dead Sea—are found in nearly every ancient culture.
