Bone Cancer Awareness This page is created to raise the awareness of bone cancer. Bone cancer is a rare form of cancer. These cells can develop tumors, or cancer.

Although bone looks and feels quite hard, it includes living cells. The tumor may start in the bone (primary cancer) or may start in another part of the body and spread to the bone (secondary cancer). Symptoms of bone cancer:

The signs and symptoms of bone cancer include:
- painful bones and joints – the pain is often worse at night
- swelling of bones and joints
- problems with movement
- susceptibility to fractures. Other less common symptoms can include:
- unexplained weight loss
- tiredness
- fever and sweating. However, the main symptoms are bone pain, which can come and go at first, but may be more persistent at night, and sometimes swelling of the affected area. These symptoms can be mistaken for a sports injury or growing pains. If you or a family member are experiencing any of these symptoms contact your doctor.
