Nava Durga in Navaratri
Navaratri is the most celebrated form of feminine worship ever. Different manifestations of that one supreme Goddess are worshiped during these days. The nine incarnations of Durga are majorly worshipped by everyone. These nine forms are colorful, ecstatic, vibrant, ferocious, benign and motherly at the same time. Each form exhibits a certain quality of Devi and it is said only by worshiping and imbibing her quality within will bring your transformation. These forms are abundant in energy and are ever blissful. They go in a sequence, the first one Shailputri, the Daughter of mountain king himavan. Being associated with a mountain she is known for her greatest strength.
Second is Bramhacharini, the lady known for her great penance. She is the ultimate yogi and a master in raising consciousness. Through her worship, a being realizes the presence of universal consciousness within themselves.
Third is ferocious Chandraghanta, considered a warrior but also gentle like moonlight, her worship brings inner balance.
Fourth is Kushmanda, the form of Devi is primordial where the universe is supposed to be born from her womb. She grants us her motherly nature and strength.
The fifth one is Skanda Mata, the mother of Skanda/Kartikeya. Kartikeya with the celestial powers and weapons granted by Mother Parvati brought down the demons in the war. This form gives inner strength and the capability to deal with difficulties in life.
The sixth one is fiery Katyayani, she appeared when the world was terrorized by evil forces. She fought and killed all the demons in war and brought relief to mankind. By her worship, you can becomes victorious upon your anger, depression, lust, greed, ego, high-handedness and rest of mental enemies.
Seventh is Kaal Ratri, the Devourer of time.
Kaal Ratri releases one from the continuous cycles of maya, which are birth & death. She grants liberation to her bhaktas.
Eighth is beautiful Maha Gauri, the blissful and gorgeous wife of Lord Shiva. Her bodily glow is beyond thousands of Suns combined. As she grants highest purity/sattva/crytal clear glowing perception to your awareness.
Ninth is Siddhidatri, the form of Mother who grants you the necessary siddhis/powers both material & spiritual ones to lead a stable & dharmic life. She gives you the ultimate empowerment to win over your obstacles.She also grants bramhavidya/highest realisation to her devotees.
