Kelas 1,2,3 BPJS Kesehatan secara resmi dihapus dan berganti dengan kelas rawat inap standar (KRIS). Semua peserta BPJS Kesehatan akan memperoleh kualitas ruang perawatan yang relatif serupa.
Hal ini seiring dengan diterbitkannya Peraturan Presiden Nomor 59 Tahun 2024 tentang Jaminan Kesehatan pada 8 Mei 2024, dikutip CNBC Indonesia, Senin (13/5/2024).

Pemerintah menetapkan kriteria ruang perawatan yang harus disediakan rumah sakit ketika merawat pasien BPJS Kesehatan. Kriteria itu tercantum dalam Pasal 46A Perpres 59 Tahun 2024.
