My favourite side effect of healthy eating is the feeling of ownership and honouring myself that comes with it. When we are caught in the junk food cycle we can feel helpless and out of control, even though we have probably experienced the same pressures in life before and turned it around.
You have it in you to live the best, healthiest version of your life at any point- and you have done it before! Your next choice is always the one that matters so make it one that serves YOU and not one that takes away from you💕

Simple carbs like white bread and pasta digest in 20-30 minutes.
Foods high in protein, fibre and fat digest in 3-6 hours. If you want to eat less, trying to just cut back will leave you hungry and miserable (you probably already know this!) so focus instead on tweaking what you eat so that you are naturally less hungry.

Breakfast sets the tone for your entire day. It can balance your blood sugar which stops cravings later on, or it can UNbalance it, causing that "bottomless pit" syndrome where you just can't be filled. Here are 6 breakfast ideas in one place. I recommend you pick:
1 breakfast for Mon-Friday that you know is quick and easy
1 or 2 breakfasts for the weekend where you have more time and care more about food because hell yes it's the weekend!

Breakfast is also more than just about cravings - a healthy breakfast makes you FEEL like you are on track and when we start the day with a win, we want to build on that and keep the streak going. A crap breakfast leaves you lagging behind out of the gate, often leading us to write off the entire day and try again tomorrow.
Pick a breakfast with more than just carbs like bread because you need protein and nutrients to fuel a healthy happy body, and you DESERVE a healthy happy body

This pandemic has been so hard on all of us, and all this time inside has NOT left many of us as healthy, fit and fabulous as we would have liked. My own experience had left me bloated and fed up, I've turned that around and now I'm here to help you!

The Healthy Weigh is a nutrition exists to educate people on how food choices impact your quality of life, and how to make healthy eating simple and practical so that it fits in with your life.

The Healthy Weigh offers one-to-one nutrition appointments on Austin Friar Street, Mullingar

Opening Hours: Thursday and Friday 10am- 7pm, Saturday 10am-2pm

Initial consultation: We discuss your current habits and goals, you receive your nutrition starter pack, and learn which habits you have that are causing fat storage/poor health/poor energy, and I create a custom meal plan for you
