As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve been taking a moment to reflect on our why.

Our elves have been busy creating this end of year production as a small way of saying thank you to those who work behind the scenes to ensure our teams can show up every day, right across our business.

2025 has been a year of phenomenal growth, with new acquisitions and the launch of our new group identity, Tierco.

What began as a family business, Seating Matters, has grown into a group of companies across three divisions: Healthcare, Manufacturing and Investments.

Our Healthcare division includes Seating Matters, Posicare by Seating Matters, Advanced Seating and A1 Risk Solutions while Sperrin Metal and Lean Made Simple make up our Manufacturing division.

But growth is not just about structure or scale, it is about people.

It is about the dedication, care and commitment that enables our teams to improve how healthcare is delivered and how manufacturing is done, sharing lean thinking and giving caregivers the means to care through better equipment and education.

Stop the Pressure Week

So many of the pressure injuries We have seen were avoidable.

They were not caused by a lack of care, but by a lack of awareness of how deeply posture, seating and simple daily routines can affect a person’s skin, comfort and dignity.

When someone sits for long periods without the right support, gravity pulls them into postures that increase risk. Uneven loading through the pelvis, sliding, shear and heat build-up can all lead to painful, life-changing injuries.

The right chair, fitted correctly, can ease that burden. It can redistribute weight, support midline posture and give the body the chance to heal rather than break down.

Stop the Pressure Week reminds us that pressure injuries are not inevitable. With proper seating, regular repositioning and a holistic assessment of posture, we can protect the people we care for and prevent harm before it occurs.

Small changes can make an enormous difference.

Let us keep learning, keep noticing and keep putting dignity at the centre of everything we do.

Originally from Mayo, Robbie has been part of the Advanced Seating family for almost two years, supporting clinicians and carers across hospitals, nursing homes, and community settings.

With a background in care, Robbie understands the challenges that service users, carers, and occupational therapists face each day. What he loves most about his work is being able to lighten that load - helping carers provide safe, effective care, and enabling people to sit out comfortably and connect with loved ones.

We had a fantastic time attending the RAFT (Rehabilitation and Function After Trauma) Ireland course on Friday in Cork.

Tom and Gus were on-site showcasing our Sydney, connecting with clinicians and sharing practical solutions that support trauma rehabilitation.

It was also great to see the Horizon being put to use in the spinal trauma and casting workshops - a real testament to how these products help make rehabilitation safer and more effective in practice.

A big thank-you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by to chat - it’s always inspiring to see so many passionate professionals working to rebuild lives through rehabilitation.
