Oh how the nerves have kicked in!!! I have my first ever running race tonight, a 3km!!! I can't wait to get started, and get to the goodies after the race!! 🤣 Let's go!!!!

Not a good day for me!! Woke up shivering and feeling AWFUL!!! 🥶 Took the day off school and am starting to come around a bit, but I had to cancel going to Dublin to support the SNAs at Leinster House!! 😪 Wishing them & everyone supporting this cause all the very best today - ye've got this!!!

It's my amazing brother John's 9th birthday today, yippee!!! 🎂
He doesn't really understand birthdays because of his intellectual disability, but that won't stop us spoiling him rotten for the entire week!!!
Happy birthday bestie, we love you to the moon and back!!!! 💙💛

What the heck is going on, I've just had a visit from a wasp!! - IN FEBRUARY!!!! 😲😳
I always thought that wasps never appear in February - maybe a Queen wasp the odd time - but this wasp was normal sized and doesn't appear to be a Queen!!!
Hopefully a wasp expert among us might clarify what's going on!!! 🤫
But it looks like this is the first sign of a real Spring, yippee!!!! 😄

Today is a great day for my brother John!! - the HSE have finally given him Behavioural Therapy!! 😊 They sent a real expert from Galway to our home today for the entire day, so John will now finally get the help that he needs going forward!!!

While nobody has been harder on the HSE than me at times, today is a day to say thank you to them for finally intervening.

The system is a disgrace that families have to wait years for Services. But rather than waste my time going negative, I'll stay 100% positive and keep advocating & pushing for things to get better for everyone!!

But today is about John - and I'm just over the moon for my little bestie!!!!!! 💙💛

So my TY decision is made!!! Thanks a million to everyone for your AMAZING feedback in a previous post - it made it almost impossible for me to make a decision!!!

But I've now decided to do TY next September, and to use the year to do some incredible things, which will include taking my motivational speaking business & journalism to a much higher level!! I'll be advertising my availability to schools & corporate businesses from next week!!

And I'm going to spend the next few months trying to find a record of some type that I can absolutely smash!!!

Advocacy wise, the recent SNA fiasco has reminded me that the little rascals in Fraggle Rock (Leinster House!!) still aren't treating the disability community with proper respect, so I'll use the TY year to parachute in on them in a way they haven't seen before - watch this space!!!

So stay tuned - it's going to be the most exciting TY year ever!!!!

OMG, I can't believe it!! These are photos from years ago when I went to Portaventura theme park in Spain when I was a little sq**rt, but I was too small to go on the huge roller coasters!! 😪 I always dreamed of going back there one day!!

So I've just arrived home from a day with my buddies to find my parents waiting for me with the biggest surprise EVER!!! They told me that nobody has ever shown the courage that I did two months ago by facing down Storm Bram during my 50 hour protest at Leinster House, all to help children with disabilities, and that I had sacrificed so much to get €20million of Government funding in the last Budget, and that I had been the best sister ever to my brothers!!

So they're rewarding me with an amazing holiday to stay in the Portaventura theme park a week after my junior cycle exams, to take on some of the biggest roller coasters in Europe!!!! It's definitely going to be a world away from sleeping on the concrete outside the Dail for 50 hours!!! 🤣 Thanks Mum & Dad, you're Simply The Best!!! It's gonna be a thrilla, a chilla, and a killa as I take on the big bad roller coaster gorillas!!! 😂

I just found out that I'm going to be making a bit of history again, by becoming the youngest ever Master of Ceremonies (MC) in Ireland when I step onto the stage for the National Young Carers Conference 2026 in UCD on Saturday March the 7th to do that job!!! And my first job will be the high honour of introducing President Catherine Connolly to open the conference!!

I'm having a really busy day today with online meetings to prepare for this huge event!! As Ireland's youngest motivational speaker, I know more than anyone that preparation is the most important thing ever - here are some photos of me practising 24 hours before I took to the stage in Chicago in December 2024 when I was Colin Farrell's guest & sole keynote speaker at the huge Colin Farrell Foundation inaugural gala!!! Practice is the key!!

What a nightmare 5 days my poor brother Neil has had in bed being sick, but thankfully he seems to have turned the corner and his temperature has dropped to normal levels!!

And he's back smiling again, which is brilliant!! So what better way to celebrate than to put up an AI photo of him smiling - he'll be hopefully back on a horse again at his special school before long!!😊

It's such a stark reminder to us as a family of the incredible struggle of having a brother with an intellectual disability, but we love him to the moon and back!!!

A million thanks to everyone out there for your kind words to Neil in previous posts, and for your advice - it meant the world the us!!! 🩷❤️

My poor brother Neil has had an awful last 48 hours, he's been so ill with a temperature of over 38 degrees, a cough, is miserable, and has been in bed all weekend.

This is where him having a profound intellectual disability is so hard - he can't tell us anything, and hospitals are out as he won't allow a doctor to come near him. All we can do is the calpol, benylin route.

This is such a reminder to me why I fight so hard for kids like Neil - they're just so vulnerable and can't fight back. And that's where I come in.

I get so worried for him, and I can't wait to see him smile again just like in this photo. I know everyone will want to see him back on his feet as well. 🩷

And just letting you know that my final junior cycle mock exam 'DOSSING & SHOPPING' went amazingly well today!!! I slept in this morning, shopped until I dropped, and spent the afternoon with one of my besties, so I definitely scored 100% in that subject!!! 😂

Day 5 and the last day of my junior cycle mock exams done & dusted, and I absolutely nailed History & German, thank God!!!! 👊

For the History exam, I copied what politicians do and I waffled to eternity and back, so I have to get a high mark!!!! 🤣

Now it's onto the best subject of all tomorrow - and it's called SHOPPING & DOSSING!!! And I'm truly an expert on that subject, so I'll be getting 200% in it!!!! 😂
