After seeing the incredible Katie Taylor on the The Late Late Show last Friday night, l can't believe that it's just 40 days away until l meet and greet her in Killarney!!! Maybe we'll do one of those big boxing face-offs!!! 🤣 I'll never be able to thank my parents enough for this amazing birthday gift they gave me last September!!!

And we're now just 9 days away from my own huge fight - my 50 hour sleepout protest at Leinster House in the bitterly cold weather!! I'll need to dig really, really deep to survive this one, but as always, I'll be giving it 200%!!! Tune in for all the updates this week as the serious momentum really starts!!!

This is bribery at it's absolute finest!! I need my Dad to get up early in the morning to drop me to the train station, so l can spend the whole day in Waterford shopping with my buddies!! So the way to his heart is through "Cara's Special Cookies"!!! Once he sees them, it's a slam dunk!!! 🤣

Now that's a great days work done!!! I spent the whole morning in Leinster House, meeting all of the Opposition leaders to gather support for my huge upcoming 50-hour protest in 2 weeks time!! Huge thanks to Mary Lou McDonald - Sinn Féin for hosting this crucial meeting, all to change the lives of children with disabilities for the better!!

Then I had a brilliant meeting outside Leinster House with my great friends in the Gardai, as they're preparing for my temporary change of address on Tuesday week!!! And it's now official - all of my post can then be sent to:-

Leinster House,
Kildare Street,
DUBLIN 2!!! 🤣

And then a shocking thing happened - a storm came and blew me into Brown Thomas, Penneys & Victoria's Secret, and l had no other choice but to buy a little haul!!! It's terrible what a campaigner has to go through!!! 😁😀

We take my amazing brother Neil for a drive every night, often for up to an hour, as he loves the motion of being driven - I call it "Neil's special patrol"!! And l don't know how it happens, but chocolate sundaes just seem to magically appear from nowhere!!! 🤣 Oh well, it'd be a waste not to eat them!!! 😁

We have a winner of my big Xmas giveaway competition!!!! An amazing prize of a special family day out with Santa is on it's way!! Mum and l are having the BEST of times here in Winterval Waterford and we still have the overnight to come, yippeeee!!! Thanks to everyone for your kind wishes in yesterday's post about me getting a breakaway!!!

OMG!!! Mum & Dad have just given me a huge surprise!! Mum is taking me away tomorrow for a night away to Winterval Waterford!!! So it's 24 hours of fun & girls-only time!!! 😀 I'll be as fresh as a daisy then when l come home to lock-in to my big Leinster House 50-hour protest for all children with disabilities, which is just 17 days away!!! I can't wait to get to Waterford tomorrow - thanks Mum & Dad!!!!

I've finished my end-of-year exams, yesssss!!!!! The sense of relief is unbelievable and I'm sure all of you remember it well!!! I can't wait for a weekend of R&R!!!!

Then on Monday it's back to work as l start the huge preparations for my December campaign at Leinster House!! And don't forget that Monday is the day of my big draw for that amazing prize of a family ticket to see Santa at Santa's Christmas Wonderland!!! I can't wait to find out who's name comes out of the hat!!!

OMG!!! - listen to the incredible news that I've come home to!! - my amazing brother Neil has smashed his fears and got up on a horse for the first time ever!!
And look at his smile!! I literally can't believe it!!!!! He wouldn't even wear a helmet until two weeks ago!!! Big thanks to all at Scoil Chormaic Special School!!
This is what happens when the Department of Education provides proper resources to someone with intellectual disabilities, so we need to see this rolled out for all kids like Neil!!
But this is Neil's day, so well done bestie - I'm so, so proud of you!!!! 👊💪🐎

We're just 20 days away from my big 50-hour protest at Leinster House!!! It's absolutely freezing out there tonight, so I'd ask everyone to think about how tough this is going to be on me to survive in these incredibly harsh weather conditions in December, especially sleeping outside!!! I'll be doing this in a few weeks time because children with disabilities deserve so much better!!! As impossible as it seems to achieve, I'm going to give it my best shot!!!
Big thanks to the Nationalist Newspaper for a great article today about the upcoming protest!! And my own column even featured Colin Farrell this week, so it's well worth a read!!!
