We always drop into Ballybacon Church on Neil's 6km walk, and he's decided to take it over!! His new favourite spot is the Priest's chair & cushion, and he's like Lord Of The Manor sitting there!!! Hey - why let intellectual disability hold you back in this world when you have God on your side!!!! 🤣

Talk about the highs & lows of life!! - after suffering depression from last night's Ireland soccer match, I'm thrilled beyond belief to finish school today for the Easter holidays!!! While I'll have to do some study over the next 2 weeks for the upcoming Junior Cycle exams, there's no more getting up at dawn for a while!!!! For tonight, I'm redefining the word "dossing" as I devour a sneaky Easter egg or two!!! Let's get this chocie eaten!!! 🤣

Just putting up a few snaps from my amazing day yesterday meeting Uachtarán na hÉireann / President of Ireland Catherine Connolly and her husband Brian at Áras an Uachtaráin!!! Spending an hour at the same table as them, hearing the behind-the-scenes stories from their Presidential campaign, was nothing short of a dream!! I'll never be able to describe how humble & kind they are!! And Dad was definitely tea'd out after having 5 cups of tea in total!!! 🤣 A huge thanks also to the entire staff of the Áras for their kindness to us!!!

Now it's onto "The Clash of the Leinster House Ash!!", my huge meeting with Minister for Disability Emer Higgins T.D. next Thursday about the Assessments of Needs national crisis!!!

I can't believe it!!! - I've just been invited to Áras an Uachtaráin to meet President Connolly tomorrow afternoon!!! I must have made a good impression on her at the recent National Young Carers Conference in UCD!!! There's going to be some panic now to find a dress etc!!!! 🤣

I'm delighted to announce "THE CLASH OF THE LEINSTER HOUSE ASH" - my huge meeting with the Minister for Disability Emer Higgins, that's taking place on Thursday the 2nd of April!!!

It's not my first time bringing hurleys to Dublin, as this photo with Tanaiste Simon Harris shows, and he was a great sport!!

The Assessments of Needs waiting lists have escalated to horrific levels, with the number now standing at over 20,000 children waiting long periods to be assessed - it can no longer be acceptable, and it has to be called out!!

So let's throw the sliotar in between Minister Emer and I and see what happens!! C'mon the Premier!!!! 💙💛

In our house, Spring/Summer starts on the first day that my amazing brother Neil goes for his 6km walk but swops his coat & warm hat for a t-shirt and cap!!! So today is that day!!!! 😆 Pity about the Cork colours, but what can you do!!! 🤣 It's a glorious day outside, so I hope you're all enjoying the fabulous sunshine!!!

Hope everyone has an AMAZING day today!!! The Clonmel parade here in Clonmel is about to start so I can't wait!!! And I started the day brilliantly by running a 10k distance for the very first time, in blustering winds, so I'm thrilled about that!!!

I'm going to share this AMAZING video for you all to enjoy!! This was taken in Tipperary Town this day two years ago when I was the Guest of Honour at their St. Patrick's Day parade, when 350 musicians from the incredible Marching Mizzou band travelled all the way from Missouri USA to take over the town, and blow us away with their incredible talent!!! Watch out for me at the 13 seconds mark!!!! 🤣

On this precious day, I want everyone to know how great my Mum is!! Thank you so much for everything you do for my brothers and I - you're the safe pair of hands that catches us every time we fall!! What an incredible journey we've had so far, from The Late Late Show to my recent crazy 50-hour protests, and you're still there for us!!! The greatest part is that I just know that the best is yet to come!!!

And a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mums out there, and those watching us from above!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Happy Seachtain na Gaeilge everyone!!!
I was thrilled to be able to welcome, as gaeilge, Uachtarán na hÉireann / President of Ireland Catherine Connolly into the hall of The National Young Carers Conference at UCD last Saturday, and you'll see that she was clearly thrilled to hear it!!! As my Irish teacher says, you never know when you'll need a cúpla focal as gaeilge!!! 😊
