We were honoured to welcome Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport Patrick O'Donovan yesterday to officially open Bon Secours Hospital Limerick, the first new acute hospital to open in Ireland in almost two decades.

The €213m project is already transforming healthcare capacity in the Mid-West, providing patients with greater access to a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, respiratory medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, endoscopy and advanced diagnostic imaging. The region's first PET CT scanner is also now operational in partnership with Alliance Medical Ireland, having treated its first patients last week.

Our investment represents a major commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, high-quality care in an environment that supports both patients and staff.

Bon Secours Hospital Cork are proud to announce the sponsorship of a new Cancer Connect minivan.

Cancer Connect offers free, confidential transportation to patients in Co. Cork attending Bon Secours and other hospitals in Cork City. This vital charity helps to care for those receiving treatment, ensuring transport is available for patients who are often too unwell or may not have family members available to drive them.

Based in Youghal, the new 8-seater minivan will transport patients across the East Cork region to hospitals in the city. Thank you to Cancer Connect’s volunteers and leadership for continuing to provide this vital service.

This sponsorship is part of our Community Outreach programme, which supports the wider local communities that we serve.
