Consistency, determination, and hard work transformed my journey—from getting just 20 minutes of game time to leading my team as captain to a county final victory. Over the past six years, I’ve poured everything I have into developing my strength, skills, and speed, both on and off the pitch. I’ve grown into the player I am today, but I remain focused on learning and improving every step of the way.Mindset has been everything. I still remember six years ago, running my own pitch session with two teammates, visualizing the player I wanted to become. That vision has been fueled by countless hours of training, actively seeking feedback from coaches, and approaching each game with clear goals and a defined purpose. The journey hasn’t been without its struggles—there have been tough days filled with frustration, tears, and setbacks. I’ve missed family events, skipped nights out, and even raced four hours from an exam just to make it to a match. I often joke that my commitment is “too strong,” especially considering I haven’t missed a single training session over a five-month stretch. But it’s that unwavering dedication that has helped me continue as team captain after our county final win. You get out what you put in.
