Just hopping on here (a rare event, I know 🙈)to give a big shoutout to my buddy Den and his absolutely must-listen podcast - Why So Glum Chum.

With a name like that you already know you’re in for a life because by the end of each episode, you’ll be anything but glum. (although you may be after shedding a few tears - guilty)

It’s inspiring, authentic, uplifting, and packed with real-life lessons that land exactly when you need them.

If your attention span is anything like mine, that’s all the more reason to tune into Den. His episodes are only 8–10 minutes long - perfect for starting your day with a bit of perspective and positivity.

Honestly, you’ll finish each one wanting more… and that’s the best sign of all. 💜💜💜

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our lovely salon, Glanmire Hair Studio.

It was a very difficult decision and not made lightly, but with the rising costs and the difficulty of getting staff has made it impossible to survive.

Firstly we would like to thank our very loyal clients for your love and unwavering support over the past 27 years.

We will always be grateful to each and every one of you, because it was you who made GHS the success it was.

We have shared and been through so much together.

Good times and Bad times.
Laughter and Tears.

I will never forget ye.

To my neighbours in Sallybrook and to the local businesses, thank you also for all your support.

To my friends and family, mentors and listeners, who have always been there for me, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much.

To my staff, past and present, thank you all.

Finally a huge thank you to Irene, Linda and Catriona - The Last Women Standing. I could not have done it without you.

A very special word of gratitude to my dear friend Irene, who has worked alongside me for the last 26 years.Through thick and thin, she has remained steadfast and is family to me.

I wish all 3 of you the very best in the future.

It is a very sad day for me today and for all of us here.But I now pray that we will all have good health going forward to embrace this new chapter in our lives.

And we wish the same to each and every one of you.

So delighted to be part of the “Relay for Life” today at Midleton CBS grounds.

A fantastic concept to raise much needed funds and awareness for cancer research.

Huge shout out to Evan O Connell for his part in organising this event. Next year will be even bigger 🥳

To remember those gone before us and to do our best for those still going through cancer , this event covers both and gives a great family day out too.

I meet strong , beautiful, sassy women all the time and Emma Brennan was no exception.

After a cancer diagnosis and going through treatment, subsequently losing her hair,
Emma decided not to even think about hair for 18 months.

She came to me ready for change and she had choices once again.

But longer hair isn’t always the answer after treatment.
We’ve changed…
our attitudes change and our minds change.
So that’s what Emma did.

And I’m sure you agree she rocks this short crop and looks absolutely amazing 💖🦋
