Many people think of recovery as an optional add on to their fitness cycle. It gets a look in but only when all of the training has been done and the body has been pushed to its limits in order to improve. I’m pretty sure people find it easier to spend money on new trainers, equipment and fitness trackers to improve performance.
I challenge you to put recovery as the first step of the fitness cycle. Think of it as priming the body so that you CAN improve performance.
One of the easiest ways to recover from the last session and prime for the next training session is to drink more water.
It is almost too easy for people to give it just credit!
