The sound of the earwax removal device can take a little getting used to if it’s your first time. Our health adviser will show you beforehand so you know what to expect. Having something in your ear can feel odd, but it shouldn’t hurt.

What do you do if you've damaged your ear with cotton buds?

Try sodium bicarbonate drops, which are available in most chemists', to shift heavily compacted earwax.

Alternatively, olive oil drops will soften the earwax and are best used before having earwax professionally removed.
