A friend told me recently :you are really good!
My reaction?
I cried for 10 minutes out of pure joy and gratitude.
I felt so seen and appreciated in that moment.
My childhood self finally heard what she has always longed for.
That she doesn’t need to be modest, does not need to hide for what she loves doing, she doesn’t need to be who others want her to be in order to be seen and recognised.
She can do what she loves, let herself go and be good at it.
She doesn’t need to hide or down play her passion. She can follow her heart and be seen by others.
My friend has helped me heal decades of longing for recognition by a simple comment.
And yet it meant a whole world to me 🙏🧚♀️
If you have a projector in your life tell them how much they mean to you, how you appreciate them, how good they are at what they do for they can’t see themselves.
They see everyone else around and yet often feel lonely and misunderstood by the world they live in.
Recognitions is important for everyone but for a projector it’s like sunshine to a flower, like air to a ballon.
It sends them off flying high with pure joy and excitement to be alive. ✨
