Connecting the fade into the length on top — especially on Afro hair.

This is where fades get pushed too high…

or you see that sudden jump from a flat fade straight into bulk.

The fix isn’t more guards.

It’s understanding the transition zone.

✂️ What we do at SUPREMECUTZ:

✔️ Use a combination of raking with the clippers
✔️ Laying the hairs down with the clippers to control the bulk
✔️ Create a clean, controlled transition zone
✔️ Then fade below that zone with your guards

That’s how you keep the fade clean, connected, and natural — without killing the shape on top.

If your fades look good from the side but heavy from the front…this is why.
