❓Some say, that Jesus is the Almighty God, turned himself into a man and dwell on Earth.⁉️
⁉️If that is true…Then who is Jesus talking to in these verses?
1️⃣ John 17:1 – Jesus lifted up His eyes to heaven and prayed to the Father.
2️⃣ John 20:17 – He said, “I ascend to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.”
3️⃣ Matthew 26:39 – In Gethsemane, Jesus fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, not as I will, but as You will.”
4️⃣ John 14:28 – “The Father is greater than I.”
5️⃣ Mark 15:34 – On the cross, Jesus cried, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
If Jesus were Himself the Almighty God, He wouldn’t be praying to God, nor calling anyone His God.
Others argue that Jesus is God with the verse John 14:9, which says…
“He who has seen Me has seen the Father”
But is that the correct understanding?
Our Lord Jesus Christ didn’t mean He is the Father in person. He meant that His works, teachings, and character reflect the Father perfectly.
📖As He explained in John 14:10, “The Father who dwells in Me does the works.”
📖And in John 12:49, He said, “The Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.”
☝🏻Therefore, seeing Jesus is seeing the Father through His words and actions, not a literal perception of the verse.
☝🏻The Father was in Christ, doing His works — that’s why Jesus is the perfect representation of God’s power and will, not God Himself (Acts 2:22).
