🎄 Christmas can bring joy… and a lot of pressure too. The “What I Can Control” worksheet can help you plan the season in a calmer, more realistic way ✨

📝 How it helps at Christmas:
✔️ Focus on what you can control – your budget, your time, your boundaries, how much you take on
✔️ Let go of what you can’t control – other people’s expectations, family dynamics, or everything going “perfectly”
✔️ Plan ahead with clarity – decide what really matters to you this Christmas
✔️ Reduce overwhelm – breaking things down makes busy weeks feel more manageable
✔️ Protect your wellbeing – by choosing rest, saying no when needed, and asking for support
🎁 Christmas doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Sometimes, focusing on what’s in your control is the best gift you can give yourself.
✨ This exercise can help reduce stress around Christmas and help you steps you can take today.

🎄 Family Relationships at Christmas 🎄The holiday season can bring joy — but it can also bring stress, emotional tension, and tricky family dynamics. If gatherings feel overwhelming, you’re not alone. Here are some gentle tools to help you protect your wellbeing and set healthy boundaries:

🧭 Define Your Limits
Decide what feels manageable in terms of time, topics, and interactions. It’s okay to set limits.

🗓️ Plan in Advance
Set a start and end time for visits so you know when you can take a break or head home.

💬 Communicate Expectations
Let loved ones know ahead of time if there are topics you’d prefer to avoid or if you need to leave at a certain time.

🎯 Find Common Interests
Focus on shared hobbies, memories, or positive moments to create lighter, more enjoyable interactions.

🤝 Keep in Touch With Friends
If you feel overwhelmed, reach out to a trusted friend or partner for support.

🌬️ Practice a Reset Technique
Try deep breathing, mindfulness, or calming music to help recentre yourself during stressful moments.

☕ Plan a Post-Gathering De-Stress
Relax with something you love — a walk, a favourite show, skincare, or a cup of tea.

You deserve peace, comfort, and boundaries this Christmas. 💙✨You can download this information as a pdf on www.bit.ly/connectmas25
