Mat. The heart of the Pilates Method ❤️ and a non-negotiable part of your movement schedule if you’re a Pilates lover.
Mat Pilates, when practiced consistently, will:
❤️ Improve your strength and flexibility
❤️ Boost your circulation
❤️ Challenge your co-ordination
❤️ Challenge your balance
❤️ Help you move with more ease in your day to day activities
Mat classes at our Clontarf studio are done on Classical Mats. These mats:
❤️ Have the optimum cushioning to support your spine in rolling exercises
❤️ Have a Foot Strap to assist opening the back with balance in the Roll Up and Neck Pull exercises
❤️ Have Dowels to help connect the arms to the back better in exercises, as well as open the chest
❤️ We have ALL supporting apparatus, big and small, to target specific movement goals. Sometimes they’re used to fire up a connection before doing the Mat exercises. Sometimes they’re used throughout the Mat lesson to keep a specific focus. Sometimes they’re used at the end of lesson to leave you aware of a particular focus for the hours and days after your lesson.
You have multiple ways to practice Mat Pilates with us:
❤️ Studio Mat - our group Mat classes. Just 9 participants so you’re individually seen within the small group
❤️ Private Lessons - always tailored to your individual needs and goals
❤️ Video Library - We have a library of Mat workouts that you can do anywhere in your own time
