Finding meaning within Grief can take different forms. Something I am involved with now is in a clinical trial to see if injecting healthy blood into brain cancer patients could be an effective treatment option.

I donate blood every 6 months for this and I do it in Javi’s name. How amazing would it be if this was the treatment that worked and saved families from having the loss we experienced.

It can feel like all you have left are memories.

As our daughter is so young I have weaved Javi into our day to day to keep him alive but not in a way that feels heavy.

If I see that my daughter has a similar reaction to something or we do something he would love, I share it with her and it brings him back to life in that moment.

Your life will rebuild around your loss but it takes time. In order to heal you need to feel it and process the pain.

Almost 5 years on I still feel the waves of grief and some events especially when it involves our daughter can be sad but the sadness does not completely overshadow things anymore.

If you are in the early stages of grief I hope you are getting the support you need and if not you can reach out to me for a support group or one to one support ❤️

If you have experienced a big loss you know it is not just the person you lose. There are many layers to grief and some are invisible.

There are many more layers that I have not mentioned.

If you are going through this I am sending you love ❤️

I always give a gift to the attendees at the Grief Support Circle.

I feel it is important because in the many layers of Grief one of them can be that you don’t receive as many gifts when you lose that significant person.

It also contains things that can extend the self care you receive in the group by having that time just for yourself.

This is why I gave set up the Grief Support Circle.

It is important that when you are ready you find what helps you through ❤️

Grief has been the biggest challenge but greatest teacher of my life.

Grief has taught me how fragile life is and not to sweat the small stuff.

If I want to do something I work towards it or just do it as the time is not guaranteed.

I used to be so caught up in work and getting promoted, I work to live now and focus more on my family and friends and nurturing those relationships.

We have this one precious life to live, go out and live it ❤️

When grieving Winter can suit you, the darkness and hibernation can mirror how you are feeling as you navigate life without your person.

Spring brings brighter evenings, fresh plans and brightness.

Acknowledge how you are feeling and seek support with it if needed. I am four years in and I don’t find the change as harsh now so it can and will get easier ❤️

Please see what I have set up and why I am so passionate about it. I remember how lost I was and I could not find a group to support me so I created one that I would have loved to have 3 years ago.

I combine the power of connecting with people who understand, Reiki and Breathwork to help you on your Grief Journey.

If you would like to attend my monthly group or see me one to one just reach out ❤️

As part of in association with the here are some things you can say to a person in the early stages of Grief.

Remembering that no words can heal but validating that it is very hard is supportive

Talking about the person they have lost is not reminding them they have died but showing them that you care to remember or know them

Don’t ask them to reach out, offer to help with something specific and show up and see what else you can do on that day

These are the books that helped me navigate grief with my young daughter

The Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson
The Invisible String by Patrice Karst #
The Memory Tree by Britta Teckentrup
Is Daddy Coming back in a minute by Elke and Alex Barber

It is a good idea to have these books on the shelf and it can be an indication that your child needs some space for their grief or for you to check in
