Six months ago Katelyn joined LWL in the middle of a lot of change. Life felt uncertain, everything felt up in the air, and she wasn’t fully sure what she was capable of.

Fast forward to now and you’re looking at a completely different woman.

Not just physically, but mentally.

We broke through so many limited beliefs. The stories she once told herself about what she couldn’t do, who she had to rely on, and what she deserved.

Why do you actually need protein at breakfast, especially if you have PCOS?

Because how you start your morning sets the tone for your hormones for the rest of the day.

If breakfast is mostly carbs like toast, cereal or pastries, your blood sugar shoots up quickly and then crashes just as fast. That crash is what leaves you starving by mid morning, craving sugar and reaching for more caffeine.

Protein helps slow that whole process down. It keeps your blood sugar steadier, keeps you fuller for longer and helps reduce those constant cravings that so many women with PCOS struggle with.

It also supports muscle, metabolism and energy levels, which are all things we want working in our favour.

So instead of building your breakfast around carbs, build it around protein first.

Eggs, Greek yogurt, protein oats or a smoothie with protein in it.

Small habit. Massive difference for your hormones.

The older I get, the more I realise that my day to day habits will help or hinder my fertility with PCOS, you can control your environment, your diet, your habits or choose to be the victim to the narrative that you created for yourself.
It’s never too late to start but don’t fool yourself into believing that nature will decide when your day to day actions are already creating the pathway to that destination.

So far this year in the past 8 weeks we have had 3 women regain their lost cycles. That is proof that what I do works.
