When I was 26 I was living in London, working in a successful banking career, and from the outside everything looked perfect.

But inside my body, things were unravelling.

I couldn’t properly breathe in my own rental apartment. My skin was covered in severe eczema. My throat would intermittently start closing from anaphylactic reactions. I was exhausted, inflamed, frightened, and getting sicker.

And like so many people, I was told the same things again and again:
Eat cleaner.
Take supplements.
Exercise more.
Manage your stress, Laura.

So I did.
I ate incredibly cleanly.
I worked with a personal trainer.
I went to every therapist you could imagine.
I tried to do everything “right.”

But none of it worked.

Because my body was never the problem.

My environment was.

I was reacting to the air I was breathing, the building I was living in, and the space I was spending 95% of my time in.

That realisation changed everything.

It led me to Building Biology - and that is what helped me reverse my autoimmune disease, mast cell activation, histamine issues and severe eczema.

Yes, food matters.
Yes, stress matters.
But for me, what truly changed my health was changing what I was breathing in and what I was living within.

Healing my environment healed me.

That is why I do this work now.
Because sometimes the thing making you sick isn’t you.
It’s your home.

What are you wearing today? 😍

This is the first in a little series I’m so excited to share - because I truly believe that what we wear every single day matters so much more than most people realise.

Our clothing sits on our skin for hours and hours, so I always come back to this question:
What is it made from?

Today I’m wearing a beautiful second-hand Ralph Lauren 100% cotton jumper that belonged to my mum, layered over an Emma Manley shirt (the fabulous Irish designer ) in wool and silk with a metallic leather collar. My jeans are Levi’s for 14-year-olds (an advantage of being short!), my underwear is natural organic cotton from , and my shoes were bought in a market in Marbella over 20 years ago. They were hand-sewn from natural materials and they are still going strong two decades later, though a little scuffed from wear! I kind of love the wearing.

This is the beauty of well-made, natural clothing.
It lasts.
They contain minimal harmful chemicals and pre-loved clothes are much better than new in terms of chemical load.
It feels better on the body.
And I truly believe the natural materials we surround ourselves with can support our health, our energy and our frequency.

So now I would love to hear from you…
What natural materials are you wearing today?

Comment below or create your own video and share it with us, I would love to see 😍

We always think about what we put into our bodies…
but what about what we put onto them?

Our skin is our largest organ.
What we wear sits on it all day, every day… breathing, absorbing, interacting with the body in ways we rarely stop to consider.

Many modern fabrics are made from synthetic, petroleum-based materials, often treated with dyes, finishes and chemicals that the body has to continually process.

Over time, this can become another quiet layer of stress on the system.

Natural fibres feel different for a reason.
Wool, cashmere, silk, cotton, h**p… they work with the body, not against it. They breathe, regulate, and support a more balanced internal environment.

It’s not about perfection.
But small shifts - choosing better where you can - begin to change the overall load on the body.

In this piece, I am wearing a gorgeous sweater from - beautifully made from pure wool.

A simple reminder: what you wear matters more than you think.

We spend up to 90–95% of our lives indoors…
yet how often do we stop to ask what those spaces are doing to us?

Our homes are meant to be places of rest, safety, and regulation.
But for many of us, they can quietly become sources of stress on the body.

Have you ever stopped to question whether your house could be making you anxious? Or contributing to your allergies?

The nervous system is constantly responding to our environment.
Air quality, hidden mould, synthetic materials, chemicals, EMFs, even something as common as carpeting… all of it adds up.

Over time, this can look like anxiety, poor sleep, low energy, or a nervous system that just can’t fully settle.

We’re so often told to optimise our health through food, supplements, workouts…
but what if the foundation we’re living in every day is working against us?

Healing isn’t always about adding more.
Sometimes it’s about becoming aware of what’s around us… and gently removing what doesn’t serve.

Your environment matters more than you think.

Most people never stop to think about what they are sleeping on… but when you consider that we spend around a third of our lives in bed, it becomes one of the most important places to start.

For years, I slept on a standard synthetic mattress - like most of us do. But what I didn’t know back then is that most conventional mattresses are made from petroleum-based materials and can contain a huge number of chemical components. Many also contain metal coils, which are conductive for EMFs (electromagnetic fields), and are often treated with additional chemical sprays.

When we begin to look at the bedroom through a Building Biology lens, it changes everything. Sleep is the time when the body should be able to rest, repair and regulate - so the environment we sleep in matters deeply.

That is why I made the switch to a natural mattress from Dormiente. Their mattresses are handcrafted in Germany, made using natural rubber latex, and can be encased in beautiful natural materials such as 100% lamb’s wool, organic cotton, or h**p.

It is not just about comfort. It is about creating a cleaner, more supportive sleep environment and reducing the toxic load where we are most vulnerable.

What you sleep on matters more than most people realise.

How did it get to this?

A few drawers being emptied turned into this…

So many products, so many promises, so much accumulation over the years. Things bought with good intentions, used once (or never), then quietly pushed to the back… out of sight, out of mind.

And now I’m sitting here wondering - how do I even begin to recycle all of this?

This is the reality of modern living. We’re sold more than we need, and it’s so easy to keep adding without ever pausing to ask… do I actually use this? Do I actually need this?

Over time, I’ve moved towards using just a handful of products. Simple & Intentional - Things I truly use and trust.

And it feels… lighter.

Not just physically, but mentally too.

I invite you to gently open that drawer - take a look, no judgement.

What’s in there that no longer serves you?

Healing - in so many ways - is about subtraction.

Not all nut milks are created equal.

In this reel I’m standing in a local supermarket, comparing labels - and it’s a perfect reminder of why reading the ingredients matters so much.

Many plant milks look healthy from the front of the carton…
but when you turn it around, the ingredient list can tell a very different story.

A lot of brands contain emulsifiers, stabilisers and gums that are added to improve texture and shelf life.

Ingredients like these can be irritating for the gut, particularly if you are already dealing with digestive issues or inflammation.

This is why I always encourage people to pause and read the label.

The best options are usually the ones with simple, recognisable ingredients - ideally just oats, water and maybe a little salt.

Small daily choices like this really add up over time.

Your body will always thank you for choosing less processing and fewer additives.

✨ Next time you’re in the supermarket, take a moment to turn the carton around and see what’s actually inside.
