Not all nut milks are created equal.

In this reel I’m standing in a local supermarket, comparing labels - and it’s a perfect reminder of why reading the ingredients matters so much.

Many plant milks look healthy from the front of the carton…
but when you turn it around, the ingredient list can tell a very different story.

A lot of brands contain emulsifiers, stabilisers and gums that are added to improve texture and shelf life.

Ingredients like these can be irritating for the gut, particularly if you are already dealing with digestive issues or inflammation.

This is why I always encourage people to pause and read the label.

The best options are usually the ones with simple, recognisable ingredients - ideally just oats, water and maybe a little salt.

Small daily choices like this really add up over time.

Your body will always thank you for choosing less processing and fewer additives.

✨ Next time you’re in the supermarket, take a moment to turn the carton around and see what’s actually inside.

Not all fats are the same. And the balance between them matters.

You’ve probably heard of Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9, but many people are unsure what the difference actually is.

The truth is that all three are beneficial fats and the body needs them for healthy cell membranes, brain function, hormone balance and inflammation regulation.

The key is not avoiding them - it’s the ratio between them.

Traditionally, humans consumed these fats in a much more balanced way. Today, however, our diets have become very high in Omega-6, largely from processed foods and industrial seed oils.

When these oils are heavily processed or repeatedly heated, they can become damaging fats in the body, contributing to inflammation rather than supporting health.

At the same time, Omega-3 is often the fat we are missing most.

It mainly comes from small oily fish such as anchovies, sardines and mackerel - foods that most people are not eating regularly enough. If you aren’t eating these, you can supplement, which is the best approach.

And unfortunately, a portion of fish and chips at the weekend doesn’t quite provide the Omega-3 your body actually needs.

Supporting your health is often less about eliminating fats, and more about restoring the balance our biology evolved with.

Why Omega-3 matters more than most people realise.

Omega-3 fats are essential for brain function, heart health and reducing inflammation in the body. Yet many people are simply not getting enough of the right forms.

We’re delighted to now have Omega-3 available through The BioWeaver Method store in Clontarf and online. Just message us here or at www.thebioweavermethod.com.

This is a beautifully formulated supplement with high levels of EPA and DHA, the two omega-3 fatty acids most closely linked to brain health, mood regulation and cardiovascular support.

What makes this one different is the thoughtful formulation.
It contains phosphatidylcholine, which helps DHA cross the blood–brain barrier, allowing it to be used more effectively by the brain.

It also includes astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant that protects delicate omega-3 oils from oxidation and supports cellular health.

Alongside this you’ll find vitamins D and E, which further support immune function, antioxidant protection and overall vitality.

Just as importantly - there are no unnecessary fillers or additives.

The oil is sourced from anchovies, one of the smallest fish in the ocean. Because they sit low on the food chain, they accumulate far fewer environmental toxins than larger fish.

A simple, clean way to support the systems that matter most - brain, heart and cellular health.

We cannot guess our Vitamin D status.

Not from how we look.
Not from how we feel.
Not from how “healthy” we believe we are.

Importantly, GPs in Ireland are not routinely testing for Vitamin D now. It used to be part of regular bloods but is no longer!

Vitamin D levels are deeply individual. Genetics, skin tone, latitude, season, gut health, body composition and lifestyle all influence status. This is especially relevant in Ireland through the winter months, when sunlight exposure is minimal and endogenous production drops significantly.

From a Building Biology perspective, testing is always preferable to assuming. We measure what matters.

has made this process simple. Their at-home testing kit includes clear, step-by-step instructions. You download the app, complete the sample, and your results are sent directly to you. It removes friction from something that should be foundational to preventative health.

There are different bundles available depending on what you wish to assess - allowing for a more personalised approach rather than blanket supplementation.

We are delighted to share that Wild Atlantic Vitamin D and Omega 3 testing kits are now available to purchase in-person at our showroom in Clontarf or via an online order, as well as their supplements.

Eilis will be joining us there for an in-person talk, where you can learn more about Vitamin D, testing, and intelligent supplementation.

When it comes to your biology, clarity is more powerful than guesswork.

Find these at our showroom in Clontarf or message us directly to get one of these kits for yourself!

These kits will be available on our new e-commerce website coming soon.

Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a deep dive into Vitamin D and Omegas with the wonderful Eilis from !

Vitamin D is not simply a seasonal supplement. It is a foundational hormone that influences nearly every system in the body.

In our recent conversation with Eilis, she shared something striking: in her clinical experience, she has yet to come across a health condition where Vitamin D does not play a role. From autoimmune conditions to mood disorders, from bone density to brain health, from anxiety to immune resilience - Vitamin D has an effect in them all.

But Vitamin D does not work alone;
What makes the Wild Atlantic formula so thoughtful is its synergy. It combines Vitamin D with Vitamin K2 and Vitamin A - nutrients that are designed to work in tandem.

Vitamin D increases calcium absorption from food.
Vitamin K2 ensures that calcium is directed into the bones and teeth, and away from soft tissues such as the arteries.
Vitamin A supports immune balance and works in partnership with D for proper cellular signalling.

As a research-led company, Wild Atlantic has also observed that individuals taking their formula have doubled their Vitamin D levels within one month. That tells us something about the bioavailability of these supplements!

When we think about health through a Building Biology lens, we are always asking: what is foundational? What supports the terrain?

Vitamin D - especially when combined intelligently with K2 and A - is one of those foundations.

We are delighted to be selling these amazing Irish made products and testing kits in our showroom in Clontarf. Book in for an appointment to come and check them out!

Most people approach healing by adding;
Another supplement.
Another protocol.
Another test.
Another layer of effort.

We are conditioned to believe that more input equals better outcomes… But biology doesn’t always respond well to accumulation.

The human system is not a machine that improves with more parts. It is an intelligent, self-regulating ecosystem that thrives when burden is reduced.

Often the nervous system is not asking for more intervention - it is asking for less demand;
Less stimulation.
Less chemical load.
Less internal pressure.
Less noise.

When the total load decreases, regulation improves - When regulation improves, symptoms often soften.

Sometimes the most strategic move is subtraction;
Remove what is unnecessary.
Simplify what is complicated.

Create space for the body to do what it is designed to do.
Healing is not always about what we add. Very often, it begins with what we are willing to take away.

If this resonates, we’d love to hear - where in your life could subtraction create more capacity?
