As we enter week three of the Irish Life Health Steps Challenge Dohenys are still flying in 1st place with over 20,000kms!!!! What a phenomenal achievement and we are only half way through 💚🤍

Remember the group walk will take place each Wed at 7.30pm for people to meet up & clock some steps together while having the chats 💫 We were delighted with the turn out last Wed so look forward to seeing everyone again this Wednesday 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

💫 Not even a week into the Irish Life Health Steps Challenge 2026 and Dohenys/Sam Maguires are lifting on the leader board 💪 Holdiing onto 1st place of nearly 300 clubs in Munster 💥

Over 130 people have signed up locally and are busy logging steps each day 🚶‍♂️Well done everyone so far🚶‍♀️ The group walk is starting next Wed Jan 14th and we hope to see everyone out walking! We will do a local loop from the GAA grounds suitable for all fitness levels.

💚🤍 Doheny GAA Healthy Club - Ireland Lights Up Initiative & Irish Life Steps Challenge commences this week 💚🤍

💥 The Ireland Lights Up starts this Wednesday 7th January with our group walk commencing next week! It will run until Feb 11th.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect with your community and come together for a chance to win cash prizes for our healthy club while kick starting your 2026.

💥The goal of this challenge is for Doheny GAA/Sam Maguires to collectively hit 4,000 km so we can be entered into the provisional draw. We did so well in 2025.

💥The more participants taking part for Doheny GAA the quicker we will hit our target. So we urge everyone to get on board, help family, friends, and neighbours who may not know how to download the app and get it started for them as every step really does count. You don't need to be a club member to take part, its a community initiative.

Search: My Life by Irish Life.

✅️STEP 2: Register or log in.

✅️STEP 3: Join the Challenge.
Click on social > challenges > pending > Munster GAA Every Steps Challenge > select "Doheny GAA/Sam Maguires GAA".

✅️STEP 4: Connect your smart watch or fitness App.
Click on the settings logo (top right)
Click My life support > tracking devices/apps > choose which app or tracker you want to connect > synchronise.
