The Doheny GAA Healthy Club are hosting a festive Christmas workshop on Thursday Nov 18th at the GAA Pavillion 🌲☃️

Why not come along for a night of fun & chats and craft a nice piece for your home this Christmas. We will provide most supplies & greenery but please bring anything else you would like to use yourself. We will make some wreathes & centerpieces 💫

As we can only cater for 15-20 please text 086 0741638 so we can have an idea of numbers. We will have some festive treats & beverages also on the night 🎅❄️

Doheny GAA/Sam Maguire Healthy Club were delighted to recieve their official accreditation along with 108 other clubs from Munster last evening ✨️

The award recognises their exceptional contributions to the health and wellbeing of their members and local community over the last 18 months as part of the initiative. A taster of activities that have taken place since early 2024 include;

✅️ Irish Life Health Steps Challenge
✅️ Local Group Walks
✅️ Healthy Eating Demos & Talks
✅️ Power up Your Mind, Mental Health & Wellbeing Event
✅️ Womens Health
✅️ Men's Yoga
✅️ Litter Picking
✅️ Dylan Quirke Cardiac Screening
& so much more 👏

Upcoming Training: SafeTalk Training is taking place in Dunmanway on Tuesday 16th September at 6pm.

We are especially urging all local groups including Sports Clubs and organisations to be represented.

This training is available to everyone over 18 years of age and everyone is most welcome.

Doheny GAA Healthy Club activities have been a bit quiet the last few weeks but we have lots planned for the next few months 🤗

To kick start us again we are linking in with Dunmanway Hillwalking CLUB to host a group walk of the newly launched Dunmanway Trails on July 3rd 💫

The Healthy Club Initiative are delighted to support and promote local amenities in the community, so come along and join us on July 3rd!
