It was another full house for our seasonal workshop last nite as part of our Doheny GAA Healthy Club Activities 🌷🌻🐣

This session was a celebration for Easter, coming together to craft something using local materials, Spring foleage, upcycling some old bits & learning something new 💫Huge thanks to Phil Collins for the demos and all the bits & pieces supplied👏 Thanks to SuperValu Ireland Dunmanway also for the fresh flowers🌻We also raffled 4 wonderful creations made by herself to those who attended 🌟 I think ye will all agree the finished pieces were wonderful ❤️

Thanks to our committee for organising and the lovely treats enjoyed by all, it was a wonderful evening and we look forward to the next one. Happy Easter 👏

Thanks to everyone that supported our little Swap Shop idea last week, we hope that some gear got a second chance for the season ahead and you picked up bits also!

Next up is our Doheny GAA Healthy Club Easter workshop on March 31st 🐣Following a successful Christmas workshop there was great interest in getting together and making/creating something for Easter 🎨.

We will continue with the DIY crafting and we will provide the supplies to create:
* Small Flower Arrangements
* Glass Bottle Decorations
€5 contribution towards the class

Our Doheny GAA Healthy Club swap shop will be open between 7pm and 9pm tomorrow evening March 19th at the Pavillion. Thanks to everyone who dropped off some bits last week, we have the following items up for grabs 💫

* Shorts
* Training half zips
* Training jerseys x15 for 12-16 yr olds.
* Football boots
* Helmets
* Socks
* Golf shoes x2 - size 9
* Hurleys - smaller sizes

Come along and pick up something for the season ahead & give some gear a 2nd chance 💚🤍

As the GAA season kick off for everyone its time to bring out the gear again, or maybe you have bits lying around that no longer fit or you are looking for some pre loved items? Here is your chance to give some of your items a second life ✨️

This Saturday between 10am and 12pm we are taking GAA gear that is in relatively good condition & will be setting up a swap shop for the following Friday, March 20th.

Please spread the word, recycle some gear, reuse some gear & hopefully you can pick up some bits too 🤗

Doheny GAA Healthy Club ALERT ⚠️

Do you have football boots, GAA gear or helmets lying around that no longer fit you or your kids? Why not bring them along to our Gear Swap Shop Sat March 14th?

Give gear a second chance and someone might appreciate picking something up in exchange 🤗 Its all about reusing & recycling gear and being kinder to the environment and our pockets 🫶

All we ask is that what you bring is in good enough condition so someone else can benefit from it. Drop it to us next Sat between 10am and 12pm and our shop will open the following Friday 🔥👍

Another successful Irish Life Health Steps Challenge complete for 2026 at Dohenys GAA 💫

Well done to all those that took part across the community and whom contributed to the 2nd place finish in Munster of over 300 clubs!! We clocked up a whopping 38,000kms and had over 190 walkers take part of all ages and abilities 🤗 What a way to kick-start the year 🙌

We look forward to 2027 already and we are excited to have our new walkway up and running for that challenge💥 Keep an eye on this page for upcoming Healthy Club activities and to see what's next! Thanks for all the support 🙏

🙌Last day of the Irish Life Health Steps Challenge 2026. Currently sitting in 2nd position in Munster with over 38,000kms! Not bad going for a small community 💫

One last push by everyone involved (over 190 of you) 💪

A group walk will take place this Wednesday night at 7.30pm from the GAA Pavilion, so lets give it one last push & celebratethis wonderful feat 👏

Tea & Coffee will be provided afterwards

As we enter week three of the Irish Life Health Steps Challenge Dohenys are still flying in 1st place with over 20,000kms!!!! What a phenomenal achievement and we are only half way through 💚🤍

Remember the group walk will take place each Wed at 7.30pm for people to meet up & clock some steps together while having the chats 💫 We were delighted with the turn out last Wed so look forward to seeing everyone again this Wednesday 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
