You may have had a busy week, and this is a simple way to begin slowing down as you move into the weekend.

When things feel full or a little overwhelming, this grounding practice can help bring you gently back into the present moment.

Could you share this with someone who might value this today? ๐Ÿฉต

Stepping out of your usual rhythm, even briefly, can bring a shift in pace and attention, and in how you meet yourself.

My Self-Exploration through Expressive Arts retreat (11โ€“13 April) offers a space to step away from the familiar and spend time in a small, supportive group.

Through reflective practices and creative work, there is an opportunity to slow things down and notice what begins to emerge.

If you feel curious about stepping into something like this, you are very welcome to join.

Please email me at paulashort@me.com to secure your place or if youโ€™d like to know more. Feel free to ask a question in the comments as well. ๐ŸŽจ

This month in the Support Programme, weโ€™re focusing on ๐„๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

For many people, emotions can feel either distant or hard to access, or very present and sometimes overwhelming.

This space offers a way to begin noticing what is there, and to develop a steadier, more supportive way of being with it. Through reflection, creative practice, and shared group time, there is an opportunity to explore your emotional experience at your own pace.

If this kind of work and the topic of Emotional Regulation speak to you, this space is open to you too.

The Support Programme costs โ‚ฌ30/month. Go to www.paulashort.net/support-programme to learn more.

This weekend, you might take a little time to step outside. Even a few minutes can feel like a shift. Just a pause, a breath, and a change of space.

There can be a pull at times to be who we think we need to be in order to be accepted. To adjust, to soften parts of ourselves, or to hold things back in subtle ways. This might even happen without us fully noticing.

Over time, it can begin to feel tiring and disconnecting.

And perhaps there is another wayโ€ฆ A way of becoming more aware of these patterns, and slowly allowing more of ourselves to be present in our lives.

Where in your life do you feel most like yourself, and where do you feel more pulled away from that? What might support you in living a little more congruently?

25/03/2026

What helps you feel steady these days?

Not perfectly okay, not on top of everything, but just a little more grounded and a little more able to meet whatโ€™s hereโ€ฆ We often underestimate the value of that.

In the Support Programme, we focus on small, consistent ways of coming back to yourself through reflection, creative practice, and a shared space with others.
A safe and experiential space to return to.

If that speaks to you, youโ€™re very welcome to join us. The Support Programme costs โ‚ฌ30/month. Go to www.paulashort.net/support-programme to learn more.

I am still preparing for the 42km Marathon in May and on Saturday I spent some wonderful hours walking 28km on the Burren. This was my longest training day yet. Here are a few pictures which really don't do justice to the gorgeous views on the day.

Iโ€™m fundraising for ๐…รฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐œรก๐ข๐ง, whose work supports families living with the loss of a baby. What they offer matters deeply, and Iโ€™m grateful to be able to walk in support of them.

If youโ€™d like to donate to Fรฉileacรกin, the link is in my stories and bio. Thank you for being here and holding this with me.

As the week comes to a close, it can be easy to move quickly past what weโ€™ve experienced.

Moments come and go, and we carry on.

You might take a little time today to return to one moment that touched you. Not to analyse it or make sense of it, but simply to be with it again, even briefly.

Sometimes, giving something our attention allows it to settle in a different way. To land a little more fully. Thereโ€™s no need to force anything or arrive at an insight. Just a few breaths, and a willingness to stay. โœจ

If it feels right, what is one moment from this week that you are letting land today?

There can be something powerful about stepping away from your usual environment for a few daysโ€ฆ

To meet it differently.
To slow things down.
To listen a little more closely.
To notice whatโ€™s been sitting just beneath the surface.

My Self-Exploration through Expressive Arts retreat (11โ€“13 April) is an opportunity to spend time in a small, supportive group, engaging in reflective practices and creative processes.

Itโ€™s a space where there is no pressure to be any particular way, just an invitation to arrive as you are and to explore what might unfold from there.

These weekends often bring a depth of connection, both with yourself and with others, that can be hard to access in the pace of everyday life.

If you feel curious about this kind of space, you are very welcome to join.

Please email me at paulashort@me.com to secure your place or if youโ€™d like to know more. Feel free to ask a question in the comments as well. ๐ŸŽจ

Take a minute with me.

As a new week begins, itโ€™s easy to move straight into everything that needs doing. This short video is simply an invitation to pause for a moment, breathe deeply, and allow your body to settle before the busyness of the week unfolds.

If you know someone who might also appreciate a gentle minute of quiet today, feel free to share this with them. ๐ŸŒฟ

Take a moment to think back over the week.

Was there a small moment where your body felt supported or cared for?

Perhaps a walk, a good meal, a stretch, a warm shower, or simply a chance to rest.

Noticing these moments can help us relate to our bodies with a little more appreciation.

12/03/2026

This month inside the Support Programme we are exploring the theme Care for My Body.

For many of us, the body is something we move through the day with rather than something we consciously relate to. This month we are turning our attention towards it by noticing, listening, and exploring what it means to treat our bodies with a little more care and respect. ๐Ÿฉต

One of the ways weโ€™ve been doing this is through a simple community project: recognising the small things we already do each day that support our physical wellbeing, and adding one small act of kindness towards our body. Often these practices are already there, a shower, a meal, rest, comfortable clothes, but when we bring awareness to them they can begin to feel different. Less like routine, and more like a way of acknowledging that our body matters.

Alongside this, members are reflecting together, sharing experiences in their small groups, and exploring what caring for the body means for them personally.

If this kind of reflective and supportive space speaks to you, you are very welcome to join us in the Support Programme.

The programme is โ‚ฌ30/month and you can learn more at
