Take a moment to think back over the week.

Was there a small moment where your body felt supported or cared for?

Perhaps a walk, a good meal, a stretch, a warm shower, or simply a chance to rest.

Noticing these moments can help us relate to our bodies with a little more appreciation.

This month inside the Support Programme we are exploring the theme Care for My Body.

For many of us, the body is something we move through the day with rather than something we consciously relate to. This month we are turning our attention towards it by noticing, listening, and exploring what it means to treat our bodies with a little more care and respect. 🩵

One of the ways we’ve been doing this is through a simple community project: recognising the small things we already do each day that support our physical wellbeing, and adding one small act of kindness towards our body. Often these practices are already there, a shower, a meal, rest, comfortable clothes, but when we bring awareness to them they can begin to feel different. Less like routine, and more like a way of acknowledging that our body matters.

Alongside this, members are reflecting together, sharing experiences in their small groups, and exploring what caring for the body means for them personally.

If this kind of reflective and supportive space speaks to you, you are very welcome to join us in the Support Programme.

The programme is €30/month and you can learn more at

Every retreat is different, but one thing that often stands out for participants is the depth of the experience.

Over the three days there is space to step out of everyday life and turn towards what is happening internally. Through expressive arts, reflection, and the support of the group, people often find themselves engaging with their experiences in ways that feel both meaningful and clarifying.

This kind of work can be both challenging and deeply meaningful, and many people leave with a sense that something important has shifted.

My next Self-Exploration through Expressive Arts Retreat takes place 11–13 April.

If you’ve been curious about this kind of group process, you are very welcome to join us.

Before the weekend begins, you might pause for a moment and ask yourself:

What might I need over the next couple of days?

Rest?
Movement?
Connection?
Quiet?
Something else?

Sometimes simply asking the question helps us listen a little more closely to ourselves. I hope you can gift yourself what you need most this weekend.

I’m happy to be speaking at 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, Ireland’s only volunteer-led national Type 1 Diabetes conference, taking place this April in Dublin.

My son Theo was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of seven, thirteen years ago. What began as a medical diagnosis quickly revealed itself to be something much broader: an emotional and psychological adjustment for the whole family.

In Ireland, approximately 30,000 people are living with Type 1 Diabetes, navigating daily decisions, constant vigilance, resilience, and ongoing change.

At the conference, I’ll be speaking about the often unseen impact of diagnosis: the mental, emotional, and physical demands placed on parents and children alike.

The conference takes place on Saturday, April 18 at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport.
Tickets are available at www.Thriveabetes.ie.

You can read an article about this on https://www.connachttribune.ie/news/parents-offer-insight-into-dealing-with-diabetes-5612065 or by clicking the link in my stories.

Sometimes the most meaningful work is not about learning new things about the world, but about coming to understand yourself in a deeper way.

Work like this is about creating space to meet yourself more honestly, to notice how you move through your world, how you relate to others, and what helps you feel more settled within your own experience.

If you’ve been looking for a space where reflection, creativity, and group connection come together in a supportive way, you are very welcome to explore the Support Programme. The programme costs €30/month.

More details are available at www.paulashort.net/support-programme.

A new month means a new theme in the Support Programme. This month’s theme is 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲.

On Saturday we gathered live to close off the previous month and had such precious conversations, thoughtful sharing, honest reflections, and the beginnings of new connections forming in the room. There’s something powerful about being part of a group that is committed to depth and care.

We will have an opportunity to do the same again this month as we turn towards our relationship with our bodies, noticing, listening, and becoming a little more attentive to what is already there. It offers a chance to become more aware, more respectful, and perhaps a little more compassionate in how we relate to ourselves physically.

Each month inside the programme includes reflective prompts, creative projects, weekly audio groundings, and a live group space, all designed to support steady, meaningful personal growth. 🌱🌿

If this kind of work speaks to you, you’re very welcome to join us. The Support Programme costs €30/month. Go to www.paulashort.net/support-programme to learn more.

Sometimes the most meaningful reflections come from noticing small moments rather than big ones. ✨

As you move into the weekend, consider where you felt most like yourself this week, maybe in a conversation, a moment, or simply in how you showed up.

If you feel comfortable sharing, you’re very welcome to leave your answer in the comments. Or just hold the question for yourself for a moment. 🌿

PD3 is for those who feel ready to continue their development journey.

Those who want to return to the group space, deepen the work, look again at attachment, at loss, and at how these themes live in everyday life.

This course builds on the foundations you’ve already laid. It’s experiential, relational, and gently challenging in the way that meaningful growth often is. There will be new material, but more importantly, there will be space to make it personal, to explore how it applies to you now at this stage of your life.

The work around attachment and loss is never really finished… it continues to shape us over time. PD3 is an invitation to remain engaged in that ongoing process, supported by a committed group and a shared agreement of confidentiality and care.

If you’re wondering whether it might be the right next step for you, feel free to reach out. I’m very happy to have a conversation. paulashort@me.com

If you’ve attended PD3, I’d love to hear, what did you gain from it?

On Saturday I walked for 6 hours on the Burren in training for the May marathon. My friends and I discovered (too late of course) that the weather was horrific and it was a torturous experience. I want to thank everyone who has donated to Féileacáin in support of my marathon walk because if it wasn't for your donations I think I would be giving up on the marathon right now. Instead, I am just going to be a little more careful and attuned to weather reports!

If you missed it, I’m fundraising for Féileacáin, whose work supports families living with the loss of a baby. What they offer matters deeply, and I’m very grateful to be walking in support of them.

If you’d like to donate to Féileacáin, the link is

Thank you for being here, and for holding this with me.

It’s integration week inside the Support Programme. 🧩

This month we’ve been exploring authenticity, and now the focus is on bringing it into everyday life. What does it actually look like to live in alignment with what’s true for you? In your relationships, at work, in the small daily choices?

We’re exploring how to express ourselves more honestly, set boundaries with care, and navigate the inner critic that tells us it’s not safe to be fully ourselves.

This is the kind of work we do together each month in the Support Programme. If you’re curious about exploring in this way, you’re very welcome to join us next month, where we will be looking at the subject of ‘Care for my body’.

Feel free to reach out or ask a question below. 👇🏻

This is an invitation to check in with your energy as the week comes to a close, not to judge it or change it, just to become aware of it.

Some weeks leave us feeling full and steady. Some leave us stretched or quiet. Sometimes it’s a mix of everything.

Wherever you find yourself today, noticing is enough.

If you’d like to share, how would you describe your energy right now?
