A day of movement, connection, and nature - International Yoga Day, the way it should be🧘🏻‍♀️🌻🌿

Yesterday we celebrated with three outdoor classes. Each one had its own rhythm, filled with connection and community.

To the first group, thank you for smiling through the rain. We left our puddled mats, stood barefoot on the grass, and flowed anyway.

By the last class, the sky had cleared. We practised with the sea and mountains around us, just breathing, moving, and being present together.

We were one small gathering, part of something much bigger, with people across the world practising too.

A special thank you for your kind donations to Dahnoun Mutual Aid in Gaza. As we stretched in safety and peace, we held others in our hearts. That quiet awareness is part of the practice too. 🙏

Outdoor classes continue all summer (weather permitting). Come join us for some fresh air and calm. 💚

Here’s to grassy feet, good company, and yoga that flows with the weather.

With love,
Mandy 🥰

🧘🏻‍♀️International Yoga Day - June 21st🧘🏻‍♀️

To mark the day, I’m offering three free outdoor classes here in Coornagillagh. An invitation to move, breathe and pause together in nature.

🕐 1PM, 3PM, 5PM

All are welcome. No experience needed. Mats provided – but if you have your own, please bring it along.

The classes are free, but if you feel moved to give, I’ll be collecting optional donations for Dahnoun Mutual Aid – a grassroots group supporting families in Gaza with food, medicine and essentials during unimaginable hardship 🇵🇸🫶🏻

It’s a small gesture of solidarity through stillness, and I’d love to share it with you.

Summer classes are starting again in my garden in Coornagillagh! After some time in India, it feels good to return to simple, grounding practices in this peaceful place.

Small group sessions will be held outdoors, either by the pond (6–7 people) or on the lawn (up to 10), depending on the weather!

Gentle, accessible and open to all levels. A chance to move, breathe, and reconnect.

Tues & Thurs: 3:30pm & 5pm
Saturdays: 1pm, 3pm & 5pm

€13 per class – equipment provided!

Each week, I’ll send out class times by WhatsApp or email. Reply to book—spaces are first come, first served.

Varanasi is a unique experience. It's intense, ancient, and full of contradiction. Over three days, I walked through narrow back alleys and along the riverfront ghats, surrounded by buildings that look and feel thousands of years old — probably because they are!

The city is loud and unforgiving. Honking horns, motorbikes weaving through crowds, and the thick smell of incense, smoke, waste of every kind - and life itself. All multiplied by intense heat.

The Ganges is seen as sacred — people come from all over to bathe in its waters, to offer prayers, and to cremate their loved ones at Manikarnika Ghat, one of the holiest and busiest cremation sites in India. And yet, that same river is heavily polluted. The contrast is impossible to ignore.

There’s a strong sense of duality here. You witness deep religious devotion, alongside commercial survival. While some people grieve, others are selling religious beads, flowers, and boat rides.

Life and death, faith and hustle, all playing out in the same space. It’s confronting at times. Life at the sharp end.

This city doesn’t soften anything. It lays everything bare — the noise, the chaos, the rituals, the resilience.

It made me think about how yoga isn’t about escaping discomfort, but learning to meet it with awareness and presence.

Varanasi doesn’t offer easy answers. But it leaves an impression. One that stays with you, long after the assault on your senses has faded.

I've left with a sense of relief, but also feeling very humble and grateful 🙏

I have been in India for a week already and so I want to share some of it with you. 😊

The first stop was Amritsar, after landing into Delhi and taking a 5 hour train. The highlight of this city has to be The Golden Temple. 🕌

You cannot fail to be impressed by the temple itself, surrounded by hundreds of metres of marble floors and tiles. It was a religious festival whilst I was there and thousands of Sikhs had made their pilgrimages from all over India.

Even more impressive was the Langar Hall within the temple complex where thousands of people are fed daily, no matter what background or circumstance.

Whats more, its free! People volunteer to help with all aspects of the process. It’s a real example of community.❤️

Everyone was so curious to see a western face and were very friendly and welcoming. Wanting to know where I was from and asking for non-stop selfies! It was hard to make progress around the temple as so many people wanted to stop and talk!😄

On the second day, I was sat outside the temple taking some shade (it was 40 degrees!). Two Sikh gentlemen stopped to ask if I needed anything followed by a family of three generations who asked if they could have a photo with me. 📷

They wheeled their Grandmother over to me in her wheelchair. As I reached out to shake her hand, she took it in both hands, holding on tightly with a big smile and then pulled me down so our cheeks were touching.

A real intimate moment with a total stranger as our lives connected for that moment. Then she was wheeled off with her family, waving as she went! ❤️

Next stop Macleod Ganj, the home of the Dalai Lama and a number of exiled Tibetans. There I took the ‘Kora’ walk, alongside monks and local people, chanting their prayers and spinning prayer wheels as they went. 🙏

A great place for contemplation and reflection. I sat and watched the monks carry out their prostrations countless times. It would be like doing part of the sun salutation 100 times! They were totally focused and mindful of their actions.🧎‍♂️

The walk ended at Tsuglagkhang Temple, where the monks were at prayer whilst people were walking around the inner temple spinning the prayer wheels that lined the wall.

After a week in Northern India, I would sum it up as a place filled with colourful chaos.🎉🇮🇳

Roads filled with cars, trucks, potholes and cows! 😆Yet within that there’s a sense of ease and harmony. The people are gentle, curious and kind. There are so many lessons here❤️
