Throwback to last week when my hormones weren't ruining my life 🆘
We all have bad body image days and I'm on one but I keep trying to remember that these feelings have an end. They may spiral around in my head but they will end!

So I'll be back to myself in... 5 days... Ish 😂

Things I've done in MY fitness journey to heal 🫶
✨Stopped counting caloties: recently everytime I try this, I end up on a binge and restrict cycle and then make myalef feel worse for doing it. I now listen to my body needs focus on getting protein with every meal and follow hunger ques!
✨Stopped using the scale : I was punishing myself by looking for a pound down or up and it was dictating how I saw my body day-to-day : I've cometely stopped using it and just go by how clothes feel and my confidence!
✨Still go to the gym 5 times a week: this is my time to relax, get out of the house and be proud of the work I'm putting in, I have a plan and not going in blindly so I'm on track!
✨I've bought the bigger size:I was spiralling into self hatred by trying on clothes that were too tight or just didn't fit, I'd hate how I looked because I WAS WEARING CLOSTHES THAT DON'T FIT! it's funny what happens when you buy your actual size. It looks better and you feel better!

Friday catch up ✨

This week I have been practicing meditation because I had such a low week last week 🥺 my lil life hack is to start my day with intention and be deliberate in setting myself up for a good day, and thankfully it's working🤍

I've done two PBs in the gym but am already getting bored of my routine, I will try to get a few more weeks out of it then switch it up for some variation 🏋️

I am getting more certain by the week that I went back to calorie counting prematurely. Im two weeks off a year in recovery 😍 I don't know if I even will reach for my fitness pal again but for now I'm in tune enough with my body to know what she needs!

I think I've spotted my dream wedding dress 🙈 and it scares the s**t out of me because I don't know if I'm ready for it but I'm really putting in the work for it - mentally and physically🫶

Everyday we gain something even if it was the most ordinary day! ✨
Today I got a bit down on myself for things going on and instead of running to my cupboard to stifle those feelings, so I didn't have to deal with them, I took action to do what I could. I sat down and thought what iss in my power to do now and what do I want the rest of my day to look like?

I also remind myself that not everyday is going to be your best with rainbows flying out of your arse.... but everyday can have good bits!

So now I'm at the gym because push is my absolute favourite and I won't have a spiralling mind because I took the time earlier in the day to deal with those thoughts!
You don't need to be a zen master to sit with your thoughts so they don't ruin your day 🫶

My belly is a bit big, there's a few rolls.....my poor self getting all these negative thoughts thrown her way 😕
Years ago I'd have no problem with posting something similar because I was thin and "looked" like I worked out 🙈

I work our 5 days a week
I drink 2 litres of water a day
I get my steps in..I also don't count calories
I don't starve myself
I trust my body to know what it needs

This is the body of someone who is a fitness coach and has moved her self worth from how she looks to how she feels and makes others feels babes😘

I can well and truly say Rest and I are besties 🤝

Rest for me looks like:
✨Timing my breaks between sets (the body nerds a minute to replenish that energy you need to go again).
✨Magnesium before bed... Its magic 👌
✨Got my Anemic Diagnosis... Iron & Folic Acid are now part of my daily routine.
✨I go to bed around an hour before I go to sleep to wind down.... With an arrow-word mostly 😂
✨Have 2 days a week that I don't plan on working out on so my body can rest
✨Fuel myself with lots of good food to get my muscles recovered and my energy up ☝️

P. S I could literally sleep for Ireland now that I have it down to an Art 💤

This is what health looked like this morning, sunshine, Tumeric shot and heading out 🌞

It does NOT have to be go go go, today my healthy day is being slow, resting and recovering... Then we jump back into the gym tomorrow 🫶

It's Friday 🫶 weekend windown
✨Been a good week workout wise - 4 in the bag and one for tomorrow and a few PBs in there ✔️
✨Got steps and water in everyday 👌
✨I can literally feel my body temp go up ☝️and my energy go down 👇 which means that time of the month is on the way 🙈
✨Finally made the choice to stop calorie counting as it want working for me - I'm still in my healing girl era and it was harming me more than helping 🙃

Now I get a treat and time to recoup Sunday then back on it again Monday ❤️

I skipped the gym this morning and don't feel bad because according to my fiancé I slept like a woman who went a week without sleeping 😂

Moral of the story :listen to your body because she's usually right 🫶

Also how delish is a good long sleep? 💤 Magnesium & a sleeping mask have been my saviours in the last year!
