I have tried to reframe my current situation with my oldest daughter a thousand times, and it never works. But she is thriving anyway, and I pray and thank God for that every night. I watch her from a distance and am proud every day. She is carving her own place out in the world and her presence is LOUD, and I love it. I’m so thankful she chose me as a dad and allowed me to be in her life for so many years. Happy 17th birthday, my love. I hope it’s full of laughter and love and that you are surrounded by any and everyone that makes you feel whole❤️ I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
