Struggling to lose weight?
I started my weightloss journey at the end of 2012/start of 2013 - seems like yesterday, really itโs 8/9 years ago.
A size 22/24 over 18 stone. A very sad unhappy girl who masked it by being the life & soul of the party. Making jokes about herself.
Why am I writing this post!??Because I wanted to share something I havenโt shared before weightloss it hasnโt always been easy , itโs been a tough road ,more so lately. I always thought Iโd lose weight & that was it then , Iโd never have to work at it again Iโd be the size 12 & I was done - LIESโฆ.. I will always have to work at it & il be honest losing it is easier than maintaining it. When Covid hit I had my own fair share of personal stuff to deal with - as per usual I dived into keeping healthy & losing weight.By the 3rd lockdown my real struggle started - Iโd realised then how being unhappy personally , in previous times, I had thrown myself into weightloss & hadnโt a life of any sort.I wouldnโt go out barely drank - then life happened & all of a sudden Iโm out most weekends - dinner dates the lot. Iโve struggled to find a new balance - Iโve struggled being in so long to not go out and live it up. I want you to know Iโve been a size 22/24 Iโve been a 10/12 - I wasnโt happy at either - WHY?
Because the size or number on the scale canโt bring me happiness. I set myself up for failure day one however I now know and want you to know losing weight - it makes hell lot of a difference but you need to enjoy the journey along the way , you need to want to be a healthier version of you.Some weeks you will lose weight some you might not but every week we take a positive and build on it for the next week.
We set ourselves up to fail by setting an unrealistic vision of how it should beโฆ but hang on no one is you so only you know the balance of what will work for you - find that balance make it work for youโค๏ธLet go of the guilt & make this lifestyle change for you , for life not just a few weeks.Invest in youโค๏ธwhen you do , you will see that being healthier feeling better all in turn will keep you motivated to keep going and be the best version of youโค๏ธ
