The death has occurred of Tomo Kilkelly, Cahercon, Kinvara, Co. Galway.

Tomo passed away peacefully at his home on March 26th, 2026, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Bridget, and his beloved grandson, Paul.

Tomo will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Emily, his sons Richard, Mark, and Dermot, and his daughters Julie and Eileen.

Deeply regretted by his daughters-in-law Geraldine, Merilyn, and Patricia, his sons-in-law Gabriel and Emmet, his brothers Pete and Jerry and his sisters Mary and Geraldine.

He will be forever cherished by his thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Corless Funeral Home, Kinvara, this Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. Removal at 7:00 p.m. to St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara, followed by burial in Mountcross Cemetery.


Mass may be viewed online via Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parishes

The death has occurred of Maura Harkness (née Brogan), Kinvara, Co. Galway and Edinburgh, who passed away on 29th November 2025, beloved wife of Bill, who died on 16th November 2025.

Maura is predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget, and her siblings Micháel, Jim, Paddy, Enda and Breda Mara.

Maura and Bill are deeply missed by their loving son Andrew, Bill’s sister Mary Forbes and her family, Maura’s sisters Ann Egan, Bernadette Monks and Josette Maurer, her brothers Gerry, Michael, Finbarr, Declan, Vincent and Colm, extended family and friends.

Maura and Bill’s funerals took place in Edinburgh.

A memorial service will be held in Kinvara on Friday, 27th March 2026, at 12.00 noon in St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara.

The death has occurred of Gerard Linnane, Ballyhehan, Bell Harbour, Co. Clare, March 21st 2026, peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his family at U.H.G.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Cepta and Rose, brothers in law David and Owen, his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and extended family.

Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick's Church, New Quay Co. Clare, (H91 RP74) on Tuesday morning at 11:00am, followed by a private cremation service at Shannon Crematorium.

The death has occurred of Michael English, Ardvarna, Oughterard, Co. Galway, Formerly of Lisvernane, Aherlow, Tipperary, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday 23rd, February 2026.

Predeceased by his parents James and Hannah, brother Jimmy and sister Eileen. Michael will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, his sons Seamus and Michael and daughter Siobhan, daughters -in-law Brenda and Paula, son-in-law Declan, all his beloved grandchildren Erin, Kate, Emmett, Libby, Grace, Hannah, Isabel, Ben and Lucy, his sister Mary and brother John, nieces, nephews, extended family neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Burial afterwards in Kilcummin Cemetery, Oughterard.

The death has occurred of Stephen Dirrane, Kinvara, Co. Galway and formerly of Rusheens, Birmingham and Inis Mhór on February 14th 2026 peacefully at the Galway Hospice, surrounded by his family.


Stephen is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary, his siblings Mary, Bridie, Kathleen and Tom. He will be sadly missed by his wife Kathleen and his daughters Marie and Tricia, his son-in-law Roni, granddaughter Annabel, his sister Ann, his brother Padraic, nephews, nieces, extended family and his many good neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Brigid Howard (née Fahey), New Quay, Burren, Co. Clare, formerly of Caherlenny, Kilchreest, Co. Galway.

On the 9th of February 2026, Bridie passed away peacefully at St. Brendan’s Nursing Home, Loughrea, Co. Galway, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Michael (Mick), parents Thomas & Bridie, sisters Kitty & Christina and brothers Michéal, Sean, Pete & Tom.

Bridie will be sadly missed by her sons Michael, Tomás, Aidan & Damian, daughters Alberta & Mirette, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her wider family, neighbours and friends. Bridie is warmly remembered by her brothers Matt (Australia), Bernard & Paddy, and her sister Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridie) Shaughnessy (née Costello), Aughnish, Kinvara, Co. Galway

Bridget passed away peacefully on Friday the 30th of January, 2026, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Kilcolgan Nursing Home.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Martin, by her much loved children, son Joseph and recently deceased daughter Mary Mahon, by her brother Micko and sisters Chris, Mary and Sadie.


Bridget will forever be in the hearts of her loving family. Sadly missed by her son Raymond (Inagh), daughter Bridget Finnerty (Rinneen, Gort), daughter-in-law Ann, sons-in-law Fergus and Michael, by her twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brother Paddy (Aughnish), sisters Margaret Conway (Claremorris) and Bernie Carr (London), nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, relatives, fantastic neighbours, many great friends and by the extended Shaughessy and Costello families.


May Her Kind And Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.


Bridget will lie in repose at the Corless Funeral Home, Kinvara, on Sunday evening, February 1st from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus (H91 Y9V6). Requiem Mass on Monday February 2nd at 12 noon. After Mass Bridget will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by his loving parents, Bridie and Tom.

He will be dearly remembered by his loving wife Mary; sons Kevin and Thomas; daughters Lorraine and Helena; his daughter-in-law Megs; Ronan, Calem and Eloisa; and his cherished grandchildren, Caoimhe, Oisín, Fionn, Jack, Rowan, Cian, João, and Calem. Sadly missed by his brothers Seán, Pádraig and Gerard; sisters Mary, Cáitríona, Teresa, Angela and Sheila; as well as his extended family and many friends.
