We were saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Lyster.

While many will remember him as the face of The Sunday Game, Michael’s legacy extends beyond broadcasting. After surviving an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in 2015, he contributed to CPR training videos and spoke openly about his experience with heart failure, helping to raise awareness through his own story.

We had the privilege of meeting Michael a few years ago at Confey College, where they were celebrating the rollout of CPR training throughout the school. It was a memorable occasion and he left a lasting impression on students and CFRs alike.

May he rest in peace.

KCRU is only one out of the 300+ CFR Schemes within Ireland.

The logo's of a small mix of schemes here reflect the diversity, scale and shared goals of each of the over 300 CFR schemes operating under the direction of the National Ambulance Service (NAS)

KCRU has been able to develop due to the support of not alone our locally based schemes back in 2015 but through the guidance and support at a national level.

This continues and we have also been privileged to provide support to schemes whether it be training, equipment or advice.

Working together at all times in the interests of patient care.

We were delighted to accept the donation of an InciTent from Jonah Roche. This innovative pop-up tent can be used during outdoor emergencies, protecting patients from the elements while also providing vital privacy from onlookers.

Jonah very kindly brought the InciTent to our recent training session, where he demonstrated how easy it is to use and just how versatile it can be. We're sure this brilliant invention will be put to great use.

What an exciting night last night as the spectacular lights were turned on!!

We are so grateful to be Aisling's chosen charity this year.

Bring your kids to see the lights, they're really amazing, and you can visit Santa while you're there!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Confey Gaa Club for the fantastic donation following their great Colour Run event.

This will be a huge help towards our costs and will help ensure we continue our invaluable work within the Leixlip community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Colour Run on September 28th with shared fundraising going to our juvenile teams and the wonderful crew . Members of Confey GAA Social Committee presented our local First Responder crew with a cheque of €1400 tonight. We thank them for all the amazing work they do to help in the community and provide people with care in times of great need and worry.
