This is an introductory 5 Week Workshop into Mindfulness Creativity for children. There are two separate workshops depending on the age of the child.
In a fast changing world with technology and social media everywhere, it is now important, to protect your child and provide them with skills and techniques to live a balanced and happy life.
This is a new and exciting workshop to help develop your child's awareness and focus. The 5 Week Programme is professionally designed to introduce your child into the world of Mindfulness. The benefits are scientifically proven to increase;  health,

HOW MINDFULNESS LOWER ANXIETY AND STRESS IN YOUR CHILD
Sadly, in today’s world, rates of anxiety in children are skyrocketing. Kids are more stressed than they’ve ever been due to covid, academic pressures and less time spent in play and outdoors.
When a child experiences anxiety, it activates the bodies protective stress response kicking the ‘fight or flight’ response into motion.
Mindfulness exercises are an extremely effective way to stop the anxiety symptoms in children that result (stomach aches, rapid breathing, fast heartbeat} and re-regulate blood pressure, breathing and heart rate.
Even better? Practicing mindfulness consistently is one of the best ways to lower a child’s anxiety by keeping your child’s baseline stress level down.

Early Habits
Children are uniquely suited to benefit from mindfulness practice. Habits formed early in life will inform behaviors in adulthood, and with mindfulness, we have the opportunity to give our children the habit of being peaceful, kind and accepting.
“For children, mindfulness can offer relief from whatever difficulties they might be encountering in life,” said Annaka Harris, an author who teaches mindfulness to children. “It also gives them the beauty of being in the present moment.”
Part of the reason why mindfulness is so effective for children can be explained by the way the brain develops. While our brains are constantly developing throughout our lives, connections in the prefrontal circuits are created at their fastest rate during childhood. Mindfulness, which promotes skills that are controlled in the prefrontal cortex, like focus and cognitive control, can therefore have a particular impact on the development of skills including self-regulation, judgment and patience during childhood.

It's always exciting when scientific studies start to show what we already know about meditation. A number of studies held in the past five years are now starting to quantify how mindfulness and meditation practices are beneficial for primary school-aged children. In a recent blog post on the New York Times Wellness Blog, one study showed that meditation over a period of 4 weeks(we are doing 5 weeks) improved children's executive functioning and even improved math grades. Furthermore, a different scientific review published in March concluded that meditation can positively change the structure of the brain to improve academic performance.
Studies also showed that Meditation can also have the greatest effect on the cognition of the brain if it's done during childhood, due to the plasticity of the brain during that time. Thus, the earlier one meditates, the more effective the impact is on one's brain development.
