The best day to pick up a new habit is today! The best way to start your day is to incorporate some morning wellness into your routine.

Yoga is one of the best practices to start, even if you’ve never tried it before. There are so many benefits to your mind, body and soul.

These include:

There’s nothing I love more than getting out for a walk with the dog, walk with myself and deep breaths.

Walking is a great activity that are physically beneficial. It is a great way for people relax in the outdoors and walking encourages people to look at surroundings in their community.

Walks can be gentle or a quick pace but the important thing to do is to go at your own pace and take in plenty of fresh air.

Walking is also a great activity to do with others in your community and a way encourage people to escape the house and meet up with others outdoors

We are all so occupied in our lives and in chasing our dreams that we struggle to make time for our family.
No matter how busy you are, your family needs you, the same way you need them. Spending time with your family will help you bond and understand one another.

For me, it is important to clock out of work Aoife and spend time with my family.

Children need to be nurtured and guided along the right path. Spending time with your family can help you teach values to your children.

By not spending time with them, they, in turn, might end up doing the same with their children. Make memories with your children because it will help them learn that little things matter. Spending time with them will also give them the opportunity to learn values from you.

Self love is so important. Below are some tips I have to improve and encourage self love in your life

🌸 Stop comparing yourself to others
🌸 Don’t worry about others’ opinions
🌸 Allow yourself to make mistakes
🌸 Remember your value doesn’t lie in how your body looks
🌸 Don’t be afraid to let go of toxic people
🌸 Trust yourself to make good decisions for yourself

Instead of focusing on calories or carbs, it is important to focus on building a balanced plate of food.

Aim to have your plate:

✨Have plenty of fruit and veg (1/2 plate)
✨Eat protein rich foods (1/4 plate)
✨Choose whole grain foods (1/4 plate)
✨Make water your choice of drink to accompany any meal

Try make your plate as colourful and as many textures as possible.

We eat with our eyes so make it appetising and you will incorporate new healthy habits into your plate and diet.
