Breda O’Sullivan, nee McGrath, Carrigaline and formerly of Portacloy, Ballina, Co. Mayo, on 18th February 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the care of the wonderful staff at St. Finbarr’s Hospital.

Breda (Breege) predeceased by her parents Anthony and Mary and her brothers Chris and Kevin.

Breda will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Janice, Caroline, Gillian and Vivienne, their father Finbarr, sons-in-law Brendan, Terry and Jack, her adored grandchildren Rhys, Dylan, Darcy, Adam and Mason, sisters Mary (Shrataggle) , Anne (Gortmellia), Josephine (Galway) and Margaret (Portacloy), brothers Paddy (Bangor), Seamus (Portacloy) and Uinsíonn (Glenamoy), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Friday 20th February, from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 21st February, at 11:30am in Church of Our Lady and St. John, Carrigaline which may be viewed here (Link to follow). Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium.

Barney Keogh, Rossport, Ballina, Co. Mayo, formerly of Brannockstown, Co. Kildare, peacefully at The Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on 16th February 2026.

Predeceased by his son Barry, parents Anna May and Joseph, and brother Peter.

Teresa McCann, St Pappins Green, Glasnevin, Dublin 11, at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, on 7th February 2026, age 90.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas and daughter in law Danielle. Teresa will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Enda, Damien and Darragh, daughter in law Voirrey, grandchildren Luke, Sidney, Rian, extended family and friends.

Renate, predeceased by her beloved partner Olaf.

The death has occured of Pat Staunton, Carrowmore, Barnatra, Ballina, Co.Mayo peacefully at his home on the 16th of January after a short illness surrounded as he was in life by the love and devotion of his family.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Paddy Staunton and dearly beloved Mick Monaghan.

Pat will be remembered and cherished with love by his heartbroken family, wife Pauline, his children Stephen, Lorraine, Tracey, Karen, Amanda, Petrina and Kieran, daughters and sons in law Geraldine, Damien, Glen, Joyce and Colin and his 11 adored grandchildren Matthew, Grace, Theo, Penelope, Luca, Cillian, Donnacha, Fionn, Beatrice, Jerome and Henry. He will be missed by his sisters Margaret and Nellie, brothers Tommy and Tony, his sisters and brothers in law, his nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Pat’s remains will repose at Healys Funeral Home, Barnatra (Eircode F26 DY62) on Sunday evening the 18th of January from 4 o clock until 6 o clock. Funeral cortège will arrive at Our Lady’s of Lourdes Church, Glencastle (Eircode F26 DN83) for funeral mass on Monday the 19th of January at 1pm. Burial will take place afterwards in Glencastle New Cemetery.

Catherine (Kathleen) Caffrey (née Monaghan), Sea Side, Belmullet, Co. Mayo, and formerly of Stonefield and England, passed away peacefully after a short illness, in the excellent care of the staff of Castlebar Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on 15th January 2026.

A wonderful and faithful mother to Theresa, John, Chris, Kevin, Anna Marie, Maxine, Michael and Tommy.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her heartbroken children and adored grandchildren: Keyleigh, Niamh, Kitty, Dearbhla, Ruby, Sarah, Sinéad, Ellie, Poppy, Labhaoise, Céline, Elsie, Tom, Jimmy and Dylan; daughters-in-law Daisy, Therese, Vanessa and Sandra; sons-in-law Jonathan and Mike; her sister Margaret, her brother Vincent, her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, her nieces and nephews, neighbours, and her many dear friends.

Kathleen is predeceased by her beloved son Martin (recently deceased); her parents, Martin and Bridget Monaghan; her sisters Mary, Sarah (Sally) Flynn and Bridget Patton; and her brothers Paddy, Johnny, Martin, Micky and Tony.

She will forever be missed by her loving husband Alan, Son Oisin, Daughter Sophie and her partner Conor, her adored grandchildren Tadgh, Fiachra and Bláithín, her mother-in-law Veronica, brothers & sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.
