Nollaig na mBan Sona Daoibh

Happy Women's Christmas to you all. Nollaig na mBan or women's Christmas falls on the 6th of January each year. Women traditionally enjoyed a day of pampering while the menfolk took over all the housework.
This old Irish tradition acknowledges the graft of weary mothers and grandmothers over the festive season. The day is more commonly known to the rest of the world as the Feast of the Epiphany or the Twelfth Night and sometimes Little Christmas. It marks the official end of the 12 days of Christmas.
