Wishing you bright and joyous Diwali. Let its light to brighten up your heart and let your light to spread happiness to everyone around you! Happy Diwali!!! 💫🙌🪔 🙌💫

✨ Diwali is a Festival of Lights, celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and some Buddhist. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance.
✨ The word Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word deepavali, meaning "rows of lighted lamps”. During the Festival, people illuminate the interior and exterior of their homes, streets with diyas (oil lamps) and rangolis (colourful art circle patterns), they light candles and fireworks.
✨ For many people, celebration of Diwali is to honour Hindu goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. The lights and lamps are said to help Lakshmi find her way into people’s homes, bringing prosperity in the year to come!
✨ However, Diwali is also a celebration of many different legends and gods - In northern India, Hindus celebrate the return of the Prince Rama and his wife Sita to the city of Ayodhya, after defeating the evil king Ravana; In the region of Bengal people worship the goddess Kali, the destroyer of evil forces; In Nepal, people celebrate Lord Krishna’s victory over the wicked king Narakaasura.
✨ Beside traditional and religious celebrations Diwali is a time to gather with friends and family time to appreciate each other’s company while preparing for an abundant year ahead. It’s about celebrating the victory of light over the darkness in our world and simply being with the people we love.

The only total lunar eclipse of the year is upon us. It will take place on the 26th of May 2021. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned with Earth between the other two, which can only happen the night of a full moon.
In this time around an eclipse we can expect a lot of unstable energy. However from this elevated space, we have the ability to use this eclipse energy as a great opportunity for growth and transformation.
Now is the time to shed and let go of whatever it is in our lives that is causing stagnation. Eclipses are not a great time to undertake new, material pursuits (new job, getting married, etc.) yet they are helpful in letting go of those habits and thought patterns that have become obstacles to our growth and expansion.
It will be worthwhile to practice deep meditation and mantra chanting, especially in the circumstances of a pandemic for the benefit of all living beings.
Mantra:
Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu -
May all living beings in the universe be happy

Searching for different meditation techniques that can help in achieving this balance I came across an old metaphor in Hindu tradition – A passenger, carriage, driver and horse…

“Know the atman as the lord of the chariot, the body as only the chariot, know also intelligence as the driver, know the minds as the reins” (Katha Upanishad verses 1.3.3)

Imagine – The Physical Body is a carriage that travels down the road. The road is sometimes smooth and easy, other times it has its potholes, up’s and down’s and bumps. Sometimes the bends are sharp and difficult to see. Every now and then the chariot runs through areas of mist, fog and storms to only pass through them and to move to a bright and sunny journey. The carriage is pulled by two horses, black and white, yin and yang, horses symbolise Emotions; these are sometimes pulling us away or lead our choices. The driver – he represents our Mind, our thinking patterns, he controls the carriage and the horses, he often is regarded as being a master. However, inside the carriage is a passenger, ‘lord of a chariot’, we can’t usually see him, he symbolises our Soul. It is him who knows where the carriage is heading, he is a guide, the true master of the chariot. Unseen, inside each of us.

Now, it is only up to us how much effort we are willing to commit to balance these four elements. Meditation is one of the tools used to promote health in all these areas of life.

Holi, Festival of Love, Hindu spring festival celebrated on the full-moon day of Phalguna (February–March). Participants throw coloured water and powders on one another. The vibrancy of colors is something that brings in a lot of positivity in our lives and Holi being the festival of colours is actually a day worth rejoicing.
The ritual starts by lighting up the bonfire one day before the day of Holi and this process symbolizes the triumph of good over the bad. On the day of Holi people play with colours with their friends and families and in evening they show love and respect to their close ones.

Happy Holi Everyone! 🎊

Mindfulness isn’t difficult, we just need to remember to do it - Sharon Salzberg 🙌🕉

Every moment of our life presents an opportunity to be mindful. The beauty of mindfulness is that your entire life is a place where you can step into mindfulness practice, it does not necessarily have to be in a temple, ashram, or on a meditation cushion or mat. It does not require any religious or ritual involvement. Hence, what is the mindfulness of daily life? Mindfulness is a practice of directing our attention to what is happening right here and right now, with an attitude of kindness towards ourselves, our experience and our environment. However, it is essential to note that mindfulness is not a practice of positive thinking and it is not about having only positive feelings. Mindfulness isn’t going to remove negative experiences and stressful situations. Naturally our reaction towards them is to push them away however, by practicing mindfulness we learn to turn towards these situations with an attitude of kindness. Through this practice we are learning to see ourselves just as we are, we accept our flaws, we accept the challenges life imposes, we cease judging and expecting, we learn to discover our strengths. This approach when gently applied to ourselves with time expands into many fields of our life, our environment, our family and relationships. This is a gentle process, and it requires time, it happens gradually but it builds resilience and inner strength. As said by Jon Kabat-Zinn – “The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little”.

How can we crush ever-present tensions?
Rushing is a habit that is sitting at the root of a stressful life. Being in constant movement we expect the results of our actions to appear constantly. Focusing on the result we pay no attention to the present, to the moment and the journey. Expectations are revoking the joy of being. Although it can be changed - make a habit of being in the now and your life will slowly realize the beauty of simplicity.
The first step to harness the peace and power of now is to make a conscious effort to stop rushing. Even though our life often expects us to multitask the reality is that we are at our best when we are doing one thing at a time. When you drive, just drive; when you clean the house, just clean. When you eat, just eat. Be in the moment. Slow down. Doing one conscious thing at the time will not only get you an effect that you will be proud of but also will carry the joy of doing, of being in progress.
Stop rushing... Be gentle with yourself... Enjoy the process.
Mantra: Om Shanti, Sanskrit mantra, chanted for invoking peace. In Buddhist and Hindu traditions Shanti is chanted three times, this represents peace in the body, speech, and mind.

Happy New Year Everyone!
2020 was a year that we’ll all remember, for many it was a very difficult year, for some it was progressive, for me... it was learning, it was a year full of adjustments, humble and personal growth. I wouldn't get where I am now without the help and kindness of others - my family, friends, my teachers and meditation.
As I am saying thank you to everyone that crossed my path, I am looking forward to 2021. I am looking forward to what the future will bring and I trust that every person and every experience that I will face will help me to learn more.
I am wishing you all to be happy, to enjoy where you are and what you are doing, I am wishing you to have space to be yourself. I am wishing you to accept others and I am wishing you to be accepted. I am wishing you lots of love - to give and to receive ❤️🙌🌟💫
To a Happy New Year 🌟

Tonight is the 13th and the last Full Moon 🌕 of the year! It is the perfect time to summarise, review but also to let go. 2020 was a difficult year, it showed us how important health is, how important our relationships with others are and how our choices can influence our lives. The best way to tap into this full moon energy tonight is, instead of complaining, to think of the lessons that 2020 thought you, count your blessings, acclaim your emotions and take time to practice self care. At night, take time to meditate and be one with your emotions. While you are in meditation, visualize 2020 and the events that have changed you over this year. With this awareness in your mind move into a new year, a new phase. Happiness is a choice, make it your priority.

Heart coherence meditation - Send Love This Christmas 🎄❤️
Effective heart coherence involves drawing the emotions of love, gratitude and kindness into our mind and our body while maintaining stable breathing. Love is the purest energy possible, it is the driving force of most aspects of our lives. It is enough to say that if we love something it will always thrive, even if it is a simple thing like your house, car, work. When you love it, you will care for it, look after it and grow it well, when you stop loving no matter how much work you will put into it, it won’t blossom the same way. I believe that time around Christmas is an exceptional moment to practice love and kindness meditation, to create heart coherence within ourselves and send love to our close ones, especially this year when we often can’t celebrate it together. I think this year we should put some extra effort into it, for our mental health we should try to bringing more joy and gratitude into our lives. Through meditation we are learning to be more in the present and to be mindful. Every person that practices it, finds that there is more joy in a mindful state of performing every day activities than in waiting for big future events. Enjoy the little things, bring back your childhood memories, share these with your close ones. Send good energy, full of love and gratitude to your family and friends, smile at the stranger that passes by, wish happiness and health to everyone and be thankful for receiving it back. Happy Christmas Everyone!
