A CLINIC FOR PARENTS OF A BABY/CHILD WITH SLEEPING DIFFICULTIES
One of the most frequent complaints I come across arises from parents whose infant or child is sleeping poorly. Typically the child is between five months and four years and whilst he may fall asleep readily at bedtime -he repeatedly awakes during the night.
Sometimes the child will only settle in the parents bed and may not go to sleep until it is time for the parents themselves to settle leaving parents tired, frustrated and often at the end of their tether. With experience of having sleep problems with my first daughter - I can fully empathise with parents frustrations.
Prevention being better than cure, there is a solution. With careful management and a proper routine you can get your child very easily into a good sleeping pattern - one in which the over-riding factor is that your baby knows how to go off to sleep by himself. All to often we put our baby down to sleep after being at the breast/bottle with the use of a soother or by rocking and as your baby gets used to this, it will soon become the only way your baby will go to sleep. Whilst this may not present a problem during the first few weeks, it often does as the child becomes older.
Baby Matters Sleep Clinic enables you to prevent or solve these difficulties through;
• outlining a normal sleep pattern and how it can be disturbed
• providing you with different approaches to assist you in the establishment and maintainance of a sleep pattern which suits your needs and the demands on you.
These sleep technique approaches really work - and once your baby or child is sleeping through the night - you will be absolutely delighted, not to mention "rested"
