is an awareness campaign which takes place during National Brain Awareness Week (16–22 March). It is led by the NAI and supported by 16 campaign partners.

The campaign shines a spotlight on the vital and often under-recognised role of neurology nurse specialists in supporting people living with neurological conditions across Ireland.

Specialist neurology nurses are at heart of neurological services, providing expert clinical support, educating and empowering patients and improving outcomes for people with neurological conditions. 🧠

Neurological disorders affect up to 1 billion people worldwide, that is nearly 1 in 6 of the worlds population.

National Brain Awareness Week takes place from March 16th to March 22nd, 2026 and it is currently supported by over 50 patient organisations, research groups and the wider neurological community.

Join us and show your support this Brain Awareness Week for the 860,000 people living in Ireland with a neurological condition, and the 1 in 6 of us worldwide.

WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport, is delivering an online course designed to help teachers, physios, OTs and coaches confidently include wheelchair users in physical activity. 📣

The training includes a short self-guided module plus a 2-hour interactive Zoom session, covering practical adaptations, inclusive language and lived experience insights. 💡
