Fridays this term are in Carrig NS just like last term and always a lovely way to finish the week 🧘🧘‍♀️

Wednesdays for me are always at St. Joseph's CBS Nenagh where I bring yoga & mindfulness classes as part of a wider school wellness program.

Classes weekly include :
🧘 TRANSITION YEAR - part of the TY program here is 8 weeks of yoga. Classes start with breathing excercises then a mindfulness discussion followed by stretching and strengthening and finishing with a 10/15 minute relaxation.
Mindfulness discussion today was on compassion for self and others and understanding that we don’t always know the full story before judging someone so being compassionate is important.

🧘6th YEARS - as with TY’s each 6th year gets a term of yoga classes with mindfulness discussion targeted to that age group. Todays focus in on what’s going well and the importance of training our minds to see the positives as much as possible in our everyday life.

🧘ST. PATRICKS - this group come for yoga sessions throughout the year in between terms of other wellness activities. We focus on movement and relaxation.

🧘ASD CLASS - I’m enjoying the sessions with this new group and each week seeing improvements. Today we chatted about ways to help relieve stress and then stretching and relaxation.

🧘‍♀️🧘STAFF YOGA - the school facilities staff yoga weekly which is a great way to unwind and get a class in for staff. I also think it’s great for students to see this is for everybody

Today I started back for my annual 6 week slot. Great to see everyone improving each year and we literally picked up where we left off last year. Our mindful discussion today was bringing to mind what’s going well for each of us at the moment 🧘‍♀️🧘

Great classes this evening …. The hardest part of yoga this time of year is having to leave the house in the dark & rain but always worth it!! Thanks to Sheila in The New Institute for having the room lovely and cosy for us every week🔥🧘‍♀️🧘

Lovely start to this term and a great start to the week. St Mary’s, church road is a fabulous primary school who provide yoga for all pupils each Monday for this 6 week slot 🧘‍♀️🧘
