There has been a huge increase in the number of people looking for help with Strep in recent years. I have been working with this remedy a lot more, and I've been seeing amazing results which I look forward to sharing over the next while.
Here's some information about our original strep remedy, and a little bit about the newer addition - Strep Tilch C5, which I've been using in my practice for 2 years with profound results in my PANDAS cases.

This is why a homeopathic approach to treatment is so well suited. It's individualised, and addresses the whole picture & the root causes. It's slow medicine in that it takes time to achieve long-standing results. We're definitely more fit for a marathon than a sprint 🌟

Too often, families come to us after being told some version of this:

“Our pediatrician gave my child a week of amoxicillin. It helped a little, but the symptoms didn’t fully go away. So we were told the treatment for PANDAS didn’t work—and therefore our child doesn’t have it.”

And just like that, the door closes.

A flare or return of symptoms does not mean treatment failed.

As we remind families again and again:

The illness can take years to treat and is prone to relapse. Lack of results—or a return of symptoms—doesn’t mean the diagnosis was incorrect.

PANS treatment is a marathon, not a sprint. Progress can be slow. There can be setbacks. But with appropriate, informed care, treatment can be disease-modifying—changing the long-term trajectory of illness.

We cannot continue to consign children and adults to years—or lifetimes—of suffering because care stopped too soon, or because PANS was dismissed after an incomplete trial of treatment.

Families deserve better.
Patients deserve better.

PANDAS Case Study: When "Behavioral Problems" Are Actually Immune-Mediated

In January 2025, I saw a 7-year-old boy whose parents were perplexed and devastated with their son's sudden onset of severe aggression and emotional dysregulation at school. Their previously "happy-go-lucky" child had transformed seemingly overnight in September 2024.

The Presentation:

▪️Sudden onset of severe aggression and emotional dysregulation at school
▪️Describing himself as feeling "fizzy" before explosive outbursts
▪️New tics: repetitive arm movements, spitting, involuntary swearing (Tourette's-like)
▪️Obsessive thoughts about fairness, acute anxiety
▪️Social regression - withdrawn from friends, couldn't attend assemblies
▪️Sleep disturbance with nightmares, fear of the dark
▪️Reduced appetite
▪️Emotional lability

His school labeled it "behavioral issues" and a psychiatrist prescribed ADHD medication which seemingly made him worse - "hyper, like he was off his head."

After working with many PANS/ PANDAS cases over the last few years I recognized his symptoms ticked a lot of boxes for P/P. His mom wasn’t familiar with P/P so I encouraged her to do some research and told her about some of the different ways my clients have approached similar symptoms with allopathic medicine, functional medicine and homeopathy.

Based on my experience from working with PANDAS I had a sense Strep was the trigger so I started him on a miasmatic remedy that we associate with autoimmunity, a well indicated constitutional remedy, a weekly dose of strep nosode, and low-dose homeopathic gut and immune support.

The Transformation (4 months later)

His mother's words say it best:

It's been on my mind for a long while to do a series of posts on PANS/PANDAS. My interest in P/P began five years ago when a homeopath referred several challenging cases to me that weren't responding well to ​my usual treatment​ approach. These complex cases pushed me to look deeper, and I started investigating with additional testing to better understand what was happening.

Around that same time, I began studying Autonomic Response Testing (ART), which has a strong focus on identifying infections and treatment protocols to address priority infection. Since I wasn't yet qualified to practice ART myself, I needed another way to help unravel these stuck cases. I started referring patients to my colleague Lois Duquesnoy for Bioresonance testing, and this collaboration proved invaluable. I began seeing clear patterns emerge: in many of these difficult cases, infections were at the root and needed to be addressed as a priority. The testing opened up effective treatment pathways by showing me why the immune system was dysfunctioning and identifying which infections were present.

In the last couple of years, I've referred several cases to my ART colleague Michelle, and we've developed a wonderful collaborative approach. By bringing together homeopathy, ART, and naturopathic medicine, we've been seeing amazing results for our clients.​

Last year, everything shifted for me on a deeply personal level when one of my own children experienced symptoms of P/P. Going through it myself made me do an even bigger deep dive to understand these conditions. Like many of you who have or are going through it I've been endlessly researching, watching every webinar, reading books/ articles and on different facebook groups learning from parents. The experience has massively deepened my empathy for parents going through this epically challenging and sometimes horrific neuroimmune condition. I now understand firsthand the fear, the exhaustion, and the desperation that comes with watching your child struggle.

I'm thankful to say that my daughter is doing much better with the help of homeopathy and herbs. We're not out of the woods yet, but she's doing really well and responding beautifully to homeopathy, as so many of my clients do. I'm so grateful to all the parents I've learned from over the last five years, because it was hearing your experiences that allowed me to recognize the signs early in my daughter. I was able to act and start treating her immediately, which means I've been able to get to the root naturally. I really want to share this work with other parents so they can learn from my journey, just as I've learned from theirs.

Over the next while, I'll be doing a series of posts to show how homeopathy can help in PANS/PANDAS cases, and sharing useful things I've discovered along the way. Feeling inspired to do a post about this after hearing about so many amazing responses this week. It shows the many different ways this course can help, and how we can never predict the outcome because each child's healing journey is unique.
