Wishing all our new trainee facilitators the best of luck for the training tomorrow, Friday and next Friday, this is going to make a huge difference to increasing the SMART Recovery presence in Donegal, we have 4 peers on the training, 4 from the ATU and 2 professionals.

It is very much thanks to the continued support of the HSE Social Inclusion and North West Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force that we have been able to run this valuable training to upskill and promote SMART Recovery Ireland

Donegal Disability Services will hold a Safeguarding Awareness Day event in the Raddison Blu Hotel, Letterkenny tomorrow, November 7th between 10am and 1pm. Letterkenny Community Policing Unit will be there and they look forward to meeting you. Everyone is welcome to attend. 🤝

The event will mark national Adult Safeguarding Day. An initiative of Safeguarding Ireland, supported by HSE Ireland, the aims of the national Adult Safeguarding Day are to raise a greater understanding of adult abuse and safeguarding and to empower people to protect themselves. The event will provide an opportunity to speak with relevant services and to get advice.

Everybody has a right to feel safe wherever they are at home, at work, in their centre or when out with their friends. Anyone with concerns regarding adult abuse and who wants further information on safeguarding can visit the Safeguarding Ireland website at www.safeguardingireland.org

Just a wee reminder that there in No SMART Recovery meeting in the Finn Valley FRC tomorrow Wednesday 5th November 2025 as Tom and I are on hidden shame training. Normal service will resume next week, where we will welcome a guest speaker to the group.
