Close to the airport and Dublin City Centre, Swords has been over the years one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. Fingal County Council's Strategic Vision for Swords is to create a sustainable new city. They have referred to Swords as an "emerging city" and project that the population of Swords will rise towards 100,000 by the year 2035. Swords is the home to a large retail and business park called Airside Retail and Business Park, on the southern fringe of the town, hosting many employers. East of the town, running parallel to Swords bypass, lies the large Swords Business Park. A little country town that has since morphed into a large satellite of Dublin City, Swords is literally up the road from Dublin Airport. With a major shopping centre, retail and business parks, this north County Dublin town is now a significant centre for commerce and an administrative capital for the area.

🏠 Do you work from home?

If so, you can claim tax relief on 30% of the costs of your:

⚡Electricity
♨️ Heating
🛜 Broadband

💶 You can only claim for the days that you work from home.

First, you need to calculate which costs are eligible for the tax relief by:

➡️ Adding your electricity, heating and broadband costs
➡️ Multiply the total costs by the number of days you worked at home
➡️ Divide by 365 (or 366 for a leap year)
➡️ Multiply by 30% (0.3)

Then, depending on the highest rate of income tax you pay, you can claim either 20% or 40% of this amount from Revenue.
