✨ Hello Everyone ✨
We have something magic planned for this weekend !!
The amazing Dominique from and us here are joining forces for some fun beach yoga times ....

I shall be teaching class for the grown up yogis and Dominique will take the small yogis for some fun filled yoga ....

Dom will be doing a 30 minute class followed by a wave meditation and some sand and stone mandala creations 💛☀️✨🌊🐙🌊☀️

Option for a dip in the ocean and making a beautiful sand mandala 💓

Hopefully weather permitting we can continue this practice for the rest of the Summer 💕

We will be offering a class from the mountain next Sunday morning online . This is a class to honour and show our solidarity with our sisters and brothers in India and to show our appreciation for the wisdom of the teachings we have received from this rich culture and tradition . All proceeds will go to Co-Vid Relief . As mentioned in previous posts there are many worthy organisations doing great work on the ground .
We as a yoga community are being asked to show up and put our yoga into action . How can we be of service ? . Looking forward to seeing you on the mat and hopefully Sarah will pull out the harmonium ❤️

To our fellow yoga teachers , students , practitioners anyone who has felt the benefits of this path now is our time to show up and honour our sisters and brothers in India . We have gained so much wisdom and knowledge from this rich and beautiful culture . Covid has hit India with a devastating impact many people are sick, suffering and dying without adequate resources or healthcare.
We have all been touched by this great spiritual wisdom passed down from the many Saints , sages and scholars of South Asia . I know I have benefited greatly from these spiritual teachings and never was it so apparent as in this last year of Covid it really gave me an array of tools to support me in my daily living . I am also a full time yoga teacher for many years it is my only source of income so I am compelled to take action and share my financial resources . I really believe that those of us who find ourselves earning an income in the area or traditions such as Yoga , Ayurveda, Mythology, Ta**ra and many others need to step up and show our support either financially or by bringing awareness to the situation.
Now is the time to show our solidarity, respect and gratitude by supporting the various organisations that are working tirelessly on the ground .

🧘🏼‍♂️ What is it that you do first thing in the morning? Hit the snooze button? Do you check your phone, scroll down Facebook, check whats-app, or read email?
Whatever you do first thing in the morning matters.

Call it a morning ritual or routine when used properly the right actions practiced with consistency could have a major impact on your life.
After all, scientific research has shown that a morning routine has the ability to increase happiness, reduce procrastination, boost confidence, and improve our over all well being .

🧘🏼‍♂️ Creating a morning ritual that makes you feel great means, you’ll be much more likely to make better choices throughout your day .

Winter Solstice .... It will be a little different this year as we cannot physically come together. The Sun God is returning to the sky ... The shortest day of the year is nearly upon us..... We are given this opportunity in these dark days to dig deep, to allow ourselves to reflect, to listen deeply ..... Giving ourselves this time to consider how we shall allow this light to shine out in the coming year ...... We’ve all been through a really tough year and this offering on Sunday night allows us an opportunity to come together in ritual to mark the ending of this cycle and to honour the coming of the light . It truly is an auspicious time with such massive planetary alignments and Solstice . We will honour it with Surya Namaskar and intention setting. Send a DM if your joining in . 🤝Yoga Supports Health Awareness Day this Saturday ... There are numerous scientific based studies which give evidence to the mental and physical benefits of Yoga. I consider Yoga to be a lot more besides. I’m sure for each of us we have an awareness of how Yoga has impacted our life’s in a positive way . Please feel free to share a story in the comments . A big shout out to the powerful bunch of yoga teachers who have gotten this up and running your hard work is truly appreciated . There are over 170 free yoga classes on offer tomorrow to highlight the importance of yoga and to lobby for in person teaching under Level 3 . So please do hop on the yoga groovy soul train tomorrow I’ll be teaching a Slow Flow with Mantra at 11 -12 or check out all the magical offerings on the Irish federation of Yoga Teachers website .

🌈Our big Sunday night chill. Make a date with yourself tonight . Restorative Yoga is like a soothing balm for the body mind and soul. In this practice we consciously relax the body which is one of the most profound ways to calm the nervous system and access the body’s innate healing powers. We just breath and allow the body to rest in gentle stretches for a few minutes at a time,fully supported by pillows , cushions, blocks and blankets . There is a gentle release in the deep tissues of the body.
We will experience a deeply meditative practice, after which the mind will be clear and still and the body soft and open .
Taking the time to do nothing is actually one of the best things you can do for yourself.
Tonight we are working specifically with our immunity and enhancing our lymphatic system .
For those who struggle with sleep, restorative yoga presents the ideal segue, encouraging the body’s natural ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.
The real beauty now is we can roll from our mats straight into our beds.
This practice is suitable for those with no previous yoga experience 🙏💞

So excited to be rolling out this new offering to our schedule at this time . Yoga philosophy has always been the heart of the practice for me and it was my entry into the world of yoga many moons ago .
We get an opportunity to delve a little deeper into the eight limbs of yoga of which which asana (physical practice ) is just one small part . We will particularly focus on the yamas(our behaviours/actions /relationship with the outer ) and the niyamas(our self observances/ relationship with the inner). They are principles that you can bring into all areas of your life and be practiced both on and off the mat . I like to view these as a road map for living a more meaningful life. They allow us to become more skilled participants in the living of our own life’s . Yoga ultimately is about liberating ourselves from the constant chatter of the mind and bringing ourselves into a place of contentment , equanimity and understanding .

Yoga is stilling the fluctuations of the mind. Then one abides in their own true nature .❤️

I’m really excited about sharing this as I truly know the value of integrating these practices into my life . I want to honour and give thanks to all the great sages and scholars of India who have preserved and shared this knowledge with us over the centuries allowing it to make its way to the west . We are truly privileged 🙏

Pretty Profound question for your Monday Morning . What is being asked of you in this moment .... What is the world asking of us as one big conscious energy . Are we being asked to move away from the external noise and being invited to draw within to find peace between our hearts and minds ...
I’m most grateful to have the need and the time for this reflection ... .In the words of Peter Crone on the podcast (give it a listen ) ‘ The world doesn’t need you to do anything for it other than embody love and peace ‘
Sit with this and consider how you can cultivate love and peace today how would it feel in your body and can you let it ripple out into the collective ❤️

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
