Why Join a Support Group?

Whether you are diagnosed with a mental health challenge, you just simply feel you cannot cope with what life throws at you or you know someone you’d like to help – their local and online groups are here for you.

The group meetings are carried out in a confidential and supportive environment, no introduction is needed, just go along and observe.

There are no charges or membership fees, and you’ll be surrounded with people who have had similar lived experiences as you so you are not alone.

The method they use during group meetings has proven success for the past fifty five years. You’re in good hands. If you still need some time before meeting them, please read some of the success Recovery Stories of their members.

📍 Location: Rustics Bar Tuam

There will be teams of 4, 10 rounds and a cash prize for the winning team. There are many prizes to be won in our raffle. €10 per person, table of 4 €40. Tables can be reserved by dropping into the office or a giving us a call 🤓🧠

Join us this Thursday for our annual 5000 Steps to wellbeing walk.

The walk takes place on the outskirts of Tuam, finishing in the beautiful Palace Grounds.

The purpose of the walk is to get people active, enjoying the open air and engaging with each other.

We distribute a short handout to all participants on the 5 Steps to Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Give.

🌿👟 Yesterday we were delighted to join Galway Sports Partnership for an Activator Poles Walk.

It was a fantastic morning of movement, fresh air, and fun. The activator poles are a great way for people of all ages and abilities to get active, improve balance, and enjoy walking together.

A huge thank you to Helen Daly from Galway Sports Partnership for facilitating the walk and to everyone who came out and took part it was wonderful to see such great community spirit! 💚 Week 1/5 ✅

September marks the Green Ribbon month, a nationwide campaign dedicated to challenging the stigma surrounding mental health. Led by Shine Ireland, the initiative invites people to wear the green ribbon, a symbol of solidarity and support.

Please join us for a coffee on Wednesday 24th at 10am - 12pm to collect your green ribbon and show your support 💚
